Friday's Friends

Welcome to Friday's Friends where I write about my friends, dogs and cats, who are looking for a Forever Home and someone to love!  This week, I've got a cat (yes, a cat guys- settle your tails down and no more barking), and a few dogs from PetConnect Rescue, Operation Paws for Home, and Ambassador Pit Bulls  to introduce to you.

My friend, "Cat Lady" from  PetConnect Rescue, has sent me a cat named Noah for this week.  Noah?  That's my name. What's a cat doing being named Noah?  Well, maybe it's not such a bad cat if it's named Noah.  After all, anyone named Noah comes from a great stock!   I should know the perfection in someone named Noah from experience, you know?!?

"Noah"
Although not quite as debonair as me, or as perfect, of course, if he was a dog, er, sorry- I like cats too.  I have two second cousins who are cats. Meet Noah!

My name is Noah, a male tabby who LOVES to talk! I can say things like "chirp" and...well, I guess that is really it, but I can hit a wide range of notes!

I am a total lover who enjoys snuggling in your lap or next to your feet. I have a playful side, but cuddling takes priority. I get along with just about everyone - cats, dogs, children, the elderly...they're all my friends! I love everybody! I am up-to-date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, and perfect with my litterbox.  See I told you he was close to perfection!! If you would like to meet me, please complete the online application and we will contact you, PetConnect Rescue Online Application.

"Izzy"
Also, from PetConnect Rescue, is Izzy who is a sweetheart. (Ok guys, settle down!)

She's a 2 - 3 yr old Boxer/American Bulldog mix. She loves everyone she meets and is affectionate with all: adults, children and other dogs.

A big girl at 75 lbs and she doesn't realize her own strength, so she would be best in a home without small children who might be knocked over by her exuberance! Someone home much of the day, willing to obedience-train her, and give her lots of exercise would be ideal for her.

She is housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and healthy. If you would like to meet Izzy, please complete an online application, PetConnect Rescue Application. Then email Kim.

"Duke"
Meet Duke.  He's a Lab/Hound mix who was born late last winter. (hey-he's a lot like me!  Lab + Hound = great!!)

Duke is sure to make you laugh and your heart melt! Duke's super silky coat is dark brown on his head and legs and blends into the black fur on his torso. A very playful and gentle boy.

He has a wonderful temperament and has loved every dog and person he's met. Duke loves following you around, and doesn't mind being picked up. He entertains himself (and you!) with his silly antics: scratching his neck with one of his back legs while standing, shaking fleece foxes and rabbits, and playing with a tennis ball.

Duke is crate-trained and housebroken. He's quickly learning his manners, however, like all young dogs, he needs someone home much of the day to continue his house training and socialization. Duke has been neutered and is heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you would like to meet Duke, please complete an online application,PetConnect Rescue Application,  then email Kim.

"Sheeba"

My friends at Operation Paws for Home brought Sheeba over for me to meet!

Sheeba, adult female mixed breed. She joined OPH along with her six puppies which have been adopted! Though Sheeba is heartworm positive, she had her treatment and is really doing well. She is a sweet girl who is in need of a forever home!

Fostered in Manassas Park, VA. If you would like more information on Sheeba, please go to Operation Paws For Homes Adoption Information and Application.

Another friend stopped by this week, Ambassador Pit Bulls, a new group for us to work and we've had a barking good time with them!

If you are looking for a good natured, people pleasing, giant ball of doggie love have we got the boy for you! Mickey!!  He is easy on the eyes, generous with his kisses, and loves to entertain. His tail is always wagging, sometimes even in his sleep! Can a dog be much happier than that?

Mickey is a true breed ambassador. He has great manners, is completely house trained, gets along with other dogs, and knows some basic obedience. He even likes to charm people by offering up his paws for a shake while sitting OR standing! How's THAT for smart? And he does it all with a smile.

No matter what kind of day you've had, coming home to Mickey is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Who can resist a dog who is so crazy in love with his people?

Interested in meeting Mickey? email Ambassador Pit Bull Rescue at contact@ambassadorpitbulls.org and we will make it happen.

Thank you to PetConnect Rescue, Operation Paws For Homes, MG Photography, Ambassador Pit Bull Rescue and Dirty Paw Photography for supplying information for today's Friday's Friends.
