12th Annual Sugar & Champagne Affair

I love to read about fund-raising events for dogs and cats that I can share with you.  If you are not able to adopt a dog or cat, there are many ways to can help support them.  One is by attending an event where the funds raised benefit them. And, in some cases, the funds go further by benefits more animals than dogs and cats.

So, what's the events, it's the 12th Annual Sugar & Champagne Affair.  Here's the details for you:


When: 
Thursday, January 31, 2012 
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: VIP Chefs' Tasting Room
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: General Reception

Tickets: 
VIP Chefs' Tasting Room Ticket: 
$150 Includes an exclusive 90 minute savory reception
by some of DC's top chefs prior to the unveiling of the desserts
in the General Reception. Includes entry into the General Reception.

General Reception Ticket: 
$90 The metropolitan area's most talented pastry chefs
will dazzle the senses with visionary works
of edible art and gorgeous gourmet desserts.
There will be free-flowing champagne
and some of the finest sparkling wines.


What's It All About?
The Washington Humane Society’s 12th annual dessert and champagne reception
honors our local crusaders against animal cruelty: Washington Humane Society’s Humane Law Enforcement Officers, Animal Care & Control Officers, and Humane Educators.

The celebration of all things sugary and sweet showcases the DC area’s most talented pastry chefs. Enjoy delectable confections complemented by some of the world’s finest sparkling wines. The VIP reception presents an exclusive savory gathering prepared by the finest chefs of the national capital region.
All proceeds to benefit the animals and programs of the Washington Humane Society.
