WOOF!!! I am barkingly pawsome to meet “The Lab Lady” this week. She’s been busy caring for so many dogs these days! I love chatting with her about the work she does in helping Labrador Retrievers to find their “Forever Homes” along with the many other volunteers at Lab Rescue.

Meet Scout, a young 5 year old, 69 lb. Black Labrador Retriever who happens to be almost as handsome as me! WOOF!!! Scout comes from the country, so he may not do well in an apartment, condo or a city environment.

The Lab Lady says “Scout is friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, brave, loyal, clean, continues to show good house manner and loves people! (oh wait a minute that’s the other Scouts)” WOOF! She has a good sense of humor! Scout is a good dog and has those traits which again, remind me of me!

Scout does well on walks in the neighborhood and is polite when meeting others. He’s good on a lead but does alerts on squirrels and rabbits!

Am not sure about his cat experience, probably good I met him after the other cats came by, but he gets along well with other dogs. And the same with children, no details on his experience so he’d be best for ages 10 and up.

He is crate trained and knows some basic commands!

Scouts up to date on vaccines. He is Heartworm and Lyme positive but is on Doxycycline to cure his Lyme and as pretreatment for his Heartworm treatment. Lab Rescue will pay for Heartworm treatment if done at one of our vets.
