Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

Happy Friday!! Pawingly that you have a pawtastic week!  Mine has been great- my human and I have been having fun exploring new areas to walk or hike and sniff- well, he doesn't sniff, that would be a bit embarrassing!  WOOF!!

"Lab Lady" of Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc., has brought a very special fella for you to meet this week- his name is "Shadow!"

Shadow is a sweet, 83 pound, 5 year-old, male, Chocolate Labrador Retriever. He was surrendered to Lab Rescue by his owner because he was hit by a car- his owner was going to euthanize him.

A country boy, not used to the noise and craziness of the city, he is looking for a "Forever Home" in the country, a rural area or a single-family home not in a busy neighborhood!  WOOF!!  Barkingly, he could use a home with few stairs.

A big, happy fella, though his leg could not be saved after he was hit by a car.  The leg had to be amputated but Shadow is getting around just fine!  WOOF!!

Shadow is adjusting well to having 3 legs and the change in balance!  He takes the time to figure out how to get around a room or his fosters house and even how to approach a tree to lift a leg! arf!  He's figured out how to climbs 2 steps to go out!

A big guy with a very gentle heart, he asks for love by gently placing his head on a lap and looking up with his big brown eyes!

Shadow gets along well with other dogs while at the shelter and he lived with other dogs in his previous home!  He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home too.

Shadow is crate trained.  Seems to enjoy having his own place. He did well downstairs while everyone else was upstairs!

A strong guy who loves to smell everything, he will pull hard when on a good scent, so he will need an easy walk harness when out on walks with his human.  WOOF!!

Shadow would make a great dog for someone looking for a gentle adult companion. BARK!

Shadow has no experience with cats.  He no children history so he's recommended for children ages 10 and up!
