Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Washington Humane Society

"Ivy"
(C) Washington Humane Society
WOOF! WOOF!! WOOF!!! I have had a barkingly pawsome week- hope you have too.

Many of my friends visited bringing friends for you to meet- one of them is the Washington Humane Society in Washington, D.C.- haven't been there yet but I hear it's a great place to visit and learn about the nation's history.  This week, my friends brought 3 1/2 year old, "Ivy" by to meet you!

Who could pawsibly resist such as beautiful sweet face as Ivy!  Melting hearts and loving humans is a natural talent of hers!  WOOF!!!   A sweet, reserved young lady who came to the Washington Humane Society as a stray.  Though she has had some hard times, she isn't let that stop her!

Ivy hasn't met any other dogs yet so if you're looking for a companion for your current dog, it'll be a pawsome idea for them to meet first.

If you are looking for a pawnderfully sweet, pawsome dog to adopt and have never do so before, she may be the pawfect dog for you! ARF!!

Ivy is part of the Hidden Gem program with the Washington Humane Society. Pawsomely, this means she's had her own set of humans to teach basic training commands so she will be extra ready to settle into her new "Forever Home!"

Barkingly, Ivy's adoption fee will be waived, however the standard adoption procedures will apply!

Interested in meeting Ivy and learning about dog adoption?  Please visit the Georgia Avenue Adoption Center, 7319 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20012, (202) 723-5730 or Washington Humane Society.

***************

As a Hidden Gem, I get my very own volunteers who spend extra time with me and work with me on basic training needs. That way, I'll be extra ready to settle into my new home! And, because I've been here a little bit longer than my friends, staff have had the opportunity to get to know me really well, and they will gladly answer any questions you may have about me.

As an extra "thank you" for considering taking me home, my adoption fee has been waived*!
