Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue

WOOFS! Happy Friday! My pawsome friend, "Lab Lady" at Lab Rescue have brought a beautiful 5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Abby for you to meet and consider adopting.

Abby is looking for her "Forever Home!" in a rural single-family home with a physical fence located in a quiet neighborhood. She requires a female-only household. Barkingly, thanks to a generous donor, who thinks every Labrador Retriever deserves a home of their own, the adoption fee for this pup is $200. 

Barkingly, Abby is enjoying her foster home! She has been working on her weight and got a pawsitive report from the Veterinarian. Woofs. 

Paws, she is now crate-free as she earned her foster's mom's trust and is pawmitted to roam the house unattended. Bark. 

Abby enjoys adventures like visiting her Veterinarian for regular check-up. She pawsitively enjoyed the car ride. 

Barks, she walks well on a leash. 

Abby, a sweet former farm mama, is enjoying her retirement lying in the sunshine, rolling in the grass, taking treats, and giving little kisses to her foster mom. 

Paws, she is slowly learning that new things and humans don't have to be scary. Abby will need a female-only home with a quiet environment, inside and outside, where she can adapt at her own pace. Barks, Abby is making regular strides in becoming a more confident dog with a typical step backward when something new is introduced. After a few weeks of no pressure from her foster mom, she voluntarily came into the same room and laid down, even lounging on the sofa with her. 

Abby will do well as your one-and-only-dog-that-is or with a pack. She may trot around the yard with the pack but she is fairly independent. 

Abby would be a wonderful companion for an adopter that is patient and willing to "meet her where she is."
