Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Cat Adoption Returns Friday, June 11!

Meows, me and the dogs, er, sorry, Abby and Noah, are pawlanning to return writing about our friends needing "Forever Homes!" with humans to love who will love them too!

Purrs, once Abby and Noah finish unpacking all my stuff and then finish unpacking their own stuff and I get the computer running, we pawlan to start writing again! Meows, I am looking forward to the move and writing again. 

Meet the Train Dog! Railfanning at it's Best!

WOOF! It's me, Abby, my adventure's with my human begin! I have been taken on my first "solo" railfanning adventure with my human. I guess that needs some explaining! 

Paws, railfanning is an interesting hobby of Dad's. Barkingly, there are many humans from really young, paws, to really old who enjoy the hobby. The hobby varies among the human's specific interests too. Woofs, some humans enjoy making model railroad layouts often designed after a favorite area like a town where they live or grew up, a model layout designed by a professional, or just enjoy trains of a specific area or railroad. Some humans enjoy standing trackside following the trains from origin to their destination by radio scanners, laptops, and their phones. They know nearly every single detail of the train- which is pawingly fascinating. Quite a few humans take videos and photography while watching the trains. Dad does that! It's all quite interesting to paw the least.

My human is mostly interested in the historical aspect of railroading and watching the trains roll by. He remembers watching the Southern Railway roll through the town where he lived as a young boy and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway which rolled by his grandmother's house.  He likes reading Trains and Classic Trains Magazines, the Chesapeake and Ohio Historical Magazine, and the Journal of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society! 

Paws, this isn't really my first railfan trip. It's my first "solo" trip with Dad. He and a buddy went on a railfan trip in December and took me along! It was so cool. Barkingly, it was fun to hang out with them but Dad wanted to take me on a "solo" trip so he can totally focus on me and my safety and teach me a few things. Don't get me wrong, he was focused on that with his buddy around too - this is just learning more about safety! 

Woofsly, I pawsitively love sitting in the backseat of my human's Subaru Forester and waiting for a train to come and watching it go by! Dad says his favorites are freight and coal trains! I love watching any of them! WOOFS! 

Pawingly, my nickname is "The Train Dog!" What better nickname could I have? WOOFS!

WOOF! MEOWS! WOOF! Happy Mother's Day Mom! We love you more than we could ever bark or meow! This past year has been very rough for many humans, dogs, and cats. We are so thankful that despite all that happened in the past year, your love for us never ever failed. When we were scared and felt uncertain from what we heard on the news, you comforted us. You never ever let us down! You are the mostest bestest-ever Mom!

Samson, Abby, and I wish all Mothers of humans and animals, the bestest Mother's Day ever! 

Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Cat Adoption, Returns Friday, June 11, 2021

WOOFS! Meows! BARKS! We are excited to share "from the Dog's Paw!" is moving to the countryside! Why? WOOF! It's quiet and our human wants to move to a quiet area. Pawings, this will be one of the few times in his life that he's not lived somewhere in Northern Virginia. While some humans will say that we will still be living in Northern Virginia statistically, barkingly, by distance and the country-like feel of the area, we ain't there no more! Oh! And, the trees. There are lots of trees. Barks! 

Meowingly, I am looking forward to moving to the country! I have never lived anywhere but the city with all its noise and humans! I can't wait to find my new window in the sunshine and watch the birds! I wonder if I will see an eagle or two? That would be way cool! Purrs... 

I pawed all that to say this, we are working on some new ideas and pawlans for "from The Dog's Paw!" BARKS! At this point, our pawlans are to be back in June with "Friday's Friend!" We hope to paw a few stories here and there along the move but we'll see. This will be Abby and Samson's first move so we'll see how it goes! WOOFS!
