HAPPY FRIDAY! WOOF! For me, it's been a pawsomely busy week! All good. All fun. WOOF! Barks. The Spring season brings several trips to the home improvement stores and garden centers. I love going with my human to do errands. He loves having me along as it keeps him company and someone to talk to! BARKS! Adopting a dog can give you a lot of fun and happiness too.

My friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc. brought by several pawsome Labrador Retrievers looking for humans to love and "Forever Homes!" Barkingly, after I introduce you to a few dogs, I have some exciting news to share! WOOF! Barks!

Meet pawsomely beautiful Ginger! She is a 12-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever looking for a "Forever Home" in a single-family home located in a rural or suburban setting! Barks, she prefers a single-story home with minimal steps but has no fence requirement! WOOFS! Paws, Ginger can navigate a few stairs but not an entire flight!

Ginger is a fun and active girl. She is pawsome with respectful other dogs and cats she's met. She has pawsome house manners. Sunny days, walks, car rides, and hanging out getting tons of attention from her humans are her favorite pastimes! Barks!

Barkingly, Ginger loves sleeping with her humans at night. She would not be happy sleeping downstairs away from the family! WOOF!

Paws, beautiful Ginger acclimated quite well to the foster's resident cat. Once she gets to know the kitties in her life, she respects their space not bothering or chasing them. Though she gets along with other dogs, she does not like to share her favorite toys and will warm them away!

WOOF! Ginger is all the good things of a pawsome dog wrapped up into a 12-year-old girl who is truly young in heart and spirit. She is always smiling and anxiously engaged in the next fun activity.

Ginger is recommended for mini-humans ages 8 and older.

WOOF! My pawsome friend Bix is looking for a "Forever Home" too! He is looking for a "Forever Home" in a single-family house with a fence! Barks!

Bix loves the attention of his humans. He loves being petted behind the ears and will lay his head in his human's lap as long as you will let him. He does not get onto furniture unless invited!

Paws, Bix prefers a home with another dog or a human who is home more than not! He gets along with dogs large and small!

Barkingly, he has great house manners and can be left alone not getting into trouble! WOOF!

Barks, Bix pawssibly enjoys going for car rides. When taking into the van to come to Lab Rescue, he settled in quickly making himself at home!

WOOF! Bix has no history with cats. He is recommended for mini-humans ages 10 and older!

5 Things To Do Before Adopting a Cat!

Cat

Adopting a cat isn't as easy as it seems, and you will need to know what to do before adopting a cat because if you don't, the feeling of excited will overshadow your responsibilities and maybe you will end up selling it months later.

I'm pretty sure you don't want your cat to give you stress because everyone has a tight schedule, that is why following these things to do before adopting one is very important.

What to do before adopting a Cat:

There are very vital steps to carry out when adopting a cat, but I'll break down 5 important things you need to do.

1. Look at your lifestyle and see if a cat can fit into it:
Yeah, that sounds strange, right? But it's very important, these animals need attention and care, so you need to look at your lifestyle, are you always at home?

Would you have enough time to play with this newly found pet?

For example, if you are a programmer dealing with lines of code all day, then the cat won't be happy that you don't give it attention. Just like a wife needs attention so does a cat.

Do you have someone that can help you to take care of your cat when you are away?

If no then you have to rethink your decision because your cat deserves your love and attention

 2. Get the number for a Vet
It's very important that you get a vet's phone number or whatever contact information there could be

You have to make sure that it's the correct one since in times of Emergency you need not delay

So book down a vet, he should know the breed of cat you are adopting and also you should have a contract with him to come and check the condition of the cat once or twice a month.

3. Re-plan your budget for emergencies:
Just as you have a budget for anything that could happen to you like getting sick, your cat should also have one too, it's a living thing, isn't it?

So if you don't have the income to set aside for some emergencies you may have to compromise on some of the 'unimportant' things you buy.

Then squeeze in some cash for some possible emergencies.

4. Make sure everyone in your home is on board with the decision:
Just as how your landlord feel about it matters so does the opinion of your family members.

Make sure that they have no complaints about the idea, this to avoid unwanted conflicts in the home.

If someone in your house is allergic to cats, then you should not make the move to get a cat, all duties regarding the cat should be shared and they should be no dispute about it.

5. Make sure the cat isn't Sick
One last thing you'll hate is adopting a sick cat and spending out of planned Budget

So make sure your cat is healthy before adopting it, with this, you save yourself the stress of treating your cat and preventing yourself and family from possible infections.

Conclusion:
So these are some of the things to do before adopting a cat. Tell me your thoughts in the comment section below
