A conversation between my human and I!

"WOOF!  Human! It's time to exercise!"

"No! Noah. I want to practice social distancing and stay inside."

"WOOF! WOOF! No. You can hang out with me."

"We can do that here!"

"BARK! Woof, no, human you need to go for a walk! We are going!"

"I am enjoying myself, Noah! I can lay here on the couch, watch my Railstream and Virtual Railfan, enjoy the sun shining through the windows, nap a bit, read my magazines... oh, I'm liking this social distancing stuff..."

"WOOF! WOOF! BARKS! You've been social distancing most of your life. You need to go for a walk! BARKS! Pawlease don't make me say it.,."

"Good boy Noah... you know me well... so let me just finish some writing and relax... oh... say what?"

"Something to Sniff?!" (C) Allen Pearson Photography
"Something to Sniff?!"

"You're getting fat human! You need to go for a walk!!"

"WHAT??"

"You have been snacking way too much! WOOF! WOOF! Barks! You are getting FAT! FAT I SAY! Your belly is starting to crouch over the top of your shorts heading to the south...AND that is so embarrassing that I have to bark or woof!"

"WHAT?? I am not getting fat!"

"W-W-W-O-O-O-O-F-F-F-! YOU'RE GETTING FAT! Barks... summer is coming... and you'll be without your shirt some ... and I am just NOT going to be seen in public, even if it's just the backyard, with a fat human.

"That's rude Noah!"

"Nope. It's the truth! Let's go!"

"Thanks but no thanks!"

"HUMAN LET'S GO! Your belly is going to explode sending fatness and fat particles everywhere... which will be embarrassing enough! BARKS! Until that happens, I am not walking with you and your belly hanging down to your knees with all that fat bouncing all over the place. WOOF! It embarrasses me around my friends canine and human! BARKS! Here's my leash. ....Actually, you should be on the other end of this thing!"

"Alright. You win!"

"You're welcome world- those who see us on our walks! Barks!"

WOOF! My friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue brought be two pawsomely grand Labrador Retrievers looking for a "Forever Home!" together to give double-the-love and double-the-pleasure to loving humans who they can love too! Darby is an 11-years-young Yellow Labrador Retriever and Emma is an 11-years-young Chocolate Labrador Retriever! Paws, they are bonded buddies and must be adopted together!

Barks, the pawsome pair are looking for their "Forever Home!" without too many stairs in a rural or suburban location. They do not have a fence requirement.

WOOFs! Darby describes himself as a most stunningly handsome, light Yellow guy and Emma is his sweet Chocolate girlfriend. Barkingly, Darby likes to swim but Emma's is quite as interested as him! They love chasing and retrieving tennis balls, doing warm-up laps around the tennis court, and, ooops... knocking over the ball hopper thingy! WOOFS! Barks.

The pawsome pair are looking for humans who will support their tennis efforts as they dream about making their way to Wimbledon or the US Open! Barks, and be willing to snuggle too! These two are inseparable!

Darby and Emma may have frosty faces but they still have pawlenty and lovin's to give! They want to fill their golden years with lots of love, snuggles, walks, sticks, and balls… lots and lots of tennis balls! Pawlease view their video's, Emma's Got Her Tennis Game On!, Darby and Emma Tennis Ball Collectors! and Darby and Emma in Tennis Ball Paradise!.

WOOF! WOOF! Barks! HAPPY FRIDAY! A beautiful day in the neighborhood and the weekend is looking great too! If you have a dog, you would have a barkingly grand time taking care of it, walking it, and playing with it. The best of times! My humans say that I have added a lot of great times to their lives and even been there when they needed me the most!

My pawsome friend the "Great Dane Dame" from the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought by a beautiful 2-year-old Harlequin Great Dane with beautiful markings named Chloe for you to meet! She is looking for a "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too! Barks!

Chloe's sweet-self had ACL surgery to her right leg. She had to stay in her crate and a very small space to keep her activity to an absolute minimum to ensure proper recovery. The healing process went extremely well with no issues. She has strengthened her legs, is pawsomely taking longer walks over more and more difficult terrain. She has been released by the Veterinarian to return to regular activities!

Barks, Chloe is energetic and loves playing with her squeaky toys!

WOOFS! Chloe is completely house-broken and crate-trained! She enjoys going into her crate on her own to hang out or to sleep. Barks! I love mine! It's my room in the house where I can have my own space!

Barkingly, according to her previous humans, she does not do well with other female dogs. Paws, with her ACL recovery and the COVOD-19, she has not had much "test" interactions with other dogs! When passing other dogs, she stops to share and does not like being barked at! Barkingly, she will bark back and lunges sometimes. Paws, she is working to correct this! Barks.

Chloe is curious about cats! She wants to chase them if they bolt. She is more interested in squirrels! She is not recommended for a home with a cat or another dog!

Great Dane Dog AdoptionWoofingly, sweet Chloe has had little training. She is working on her commands, "leash/heal," "sit/down/stay" and is learning pawsomely quick! She heals when walking but periodically will pull.

Barks, she is getting more playful too. Paws, she doesn't realize how big she is so she bumps, steps on toes, and wants to play rough! She will calm down if enforced. With her energy and enthusiasm of being a pawsomely-grand-self of a Great Dane, she is recommended for a home with mini-humans ages 10 and older. She is not recommended for a home with significantly older humans!

Chloe is a true love bug and loves her humans! She will lay down next to her humans and cuddle all day if allowed! She is very smart and knows how to tell you what she wants, whether it's to play, potty, or some water!

Barks, since Chloe is very, very strong, she will need continued training. She will have a training addendum as part of her adoption contract!

To learn more about adopting a Great Dane and to apply to pawssibly meet or adopt Chloe, pawlease visit the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Adoption Procedures.

WOOF! Do you love Great Danes, but, for whatever reason, are not able to adopt? Please consider
supporting Chloe financially. Donations will assist with her care. Any extra funds after her adoption will be used to assist other Great Danes at the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. Interested, pawlease donate HERE! Donations are tax-deductible!

Meet my newest friend Maeve! She just arrived at Operation Paws for Homes and they are learning about her sweet-self! Paws! Is she cute or what?! I just love this photo of her! Barks!

Maeve is pawssibly around 7-years-old and a Boxer mix. She is a pawsomely sweet girl who made her way north to find her "Forever Home!"

Maeve tested pawsitive for Heartworm Disease before arriving at Operation Paws for Homes. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. Operation Paws for Homes will treat her and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Barks, pawlease read more about Heartworm Disease at the American Heartworm Society.

WOOF! Meet my new friend Frazier from Lab Rescue! "Lab Lady" brought him by this week to meet you so he can find a "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too! BARKS! He is almost as cute as I was at the pawsomely young age of 10-months! WOOF!

Black Labrador Retriever Dog Adoption

Frazier is looking for his "Forever Home" in a quiet rural or suburban single-family house! He requires a physical fence! A smaller secure yard would be best as he learns to trust and it is barkingly fine to come and go! Barkingly, he must go to a home with another dog!

Paws, Frazier is skittish and not open to human touch...yet! Woofs! He can be a bit vocal when initially meeting new humans. Once he warms up, he's your best friend! He allows his foster Dad to love him all over but his foster mom and others have had to "bribe" him. He will require an adopter with lots of patience! He seems to be more partial to men than women!

Barks, Frazier likes to go in his crate for treats, feeding, and toy time. He prefers a plastic crate. Paws, he is house-trained!

Frazier loves dogs. He is happiest around other dogs. He will need a dog friend or two for confidence. He has gotten along with every dog he's met!

Barks, Frazier is looking for an adopter who will be willing to give him time and patience he needs to trust them! A human who would be willing to visit him several times would be ideal!

Frazier must go to a home with another dog. He is pawssibly alright with cats. He is approved for mini-humans ages 10 and older.

Paws, to learn more about adopting a Labrador Retriever from Lab Rescue, pawlease visit their Adoption Guide.

WOOF! If you would like to meet or apply to pawssibly adopt this pawsomely handsome fella, pawlease complete the Lab Rescue Dog Adoption Application.
