Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Yellowstone National Park

Woofs, March 2022 is the 250th Anniversary of the magnificent Yellowstone National Park, the world's first National Park. In 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant signed a law to set aside preserve and protect the scenery, cultural heritage, wildlife, geologic and ecological systems, and processes in their natural condition for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.

More than a few years before Noah, Samson, or me, Abby, were born, our humans took a bus tour trip to see Yellowstone National Park along with a few other parks along the way. Dad says they enjoyed seeing the beautiful landscape of the American countryside. Paws, he got to see pawlenty of animals that aren't found in Virginia, buffalo, antelope, bear, coyote, elk, bighorn sheep, and wolf, to name a few.

Barkingly, one of the mostest favorite attractions at Yellowstone is "Old Faithful!" It was the inspiration for the establishment of the park preserving the scenery and wildlife. Old Faithful is one of nearly 500 geysers in the park. It is one of six that park rangers currently predict when it will blow! It isn't common to predict geysers eruptions with regularity but Old Faithful has lived up to its name, only lengthening its time between eruptions by about 30 minutes in the last 30 years.

Meows, it's pawssibly that Old Faithful may stop erupting someday. Purrs, thermal features change constantly as part of the natural system. Before it does, you can watch its eruptions from a viewing area or along the boardwalks weaving throughout the Upper Geyer Basin. Meows.

Woofs, our humans took a tour throughout the part with their bus travel group viewing the incredibly beautiful landscape, wildlife found along the way, and geysers. Barkingly, they even had to stop for a buffalo in the road. One of Dad's favorite stops was where he took a hike to where he saw azure pools of geyser water you can look into the depths of the earth. Another favorite was viewing the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River from a scenic overlook. An incredibly beautiful sight!

Barkingly, there are pawlenty of adventures waiting to be had throughout Yellowstone National Park. Too much for us to include in this post. Before you go, be sure to research your adventures and plan your trip to get the most out of it. Before taking your dog with you, pawlease check into what is permitted by the park.

MEOWS! PURRS! Happy Friday! YAY! IT'S FRIDAY! I just did my Friday Dance to help make our weekend extra fun. It'd be even more fun for you if you had a cat in your home to keep you company! Meows. My friends at Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) brought by a beautiful cat who's looking for her "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too! Meet Bella Babe!
(C) 2022, from The Dog's Paw!

Bella is around 3-years-old, she is not declawed, is dog-, cat-, and mini-human friendly. She came all the way from Kuwait for a chance at the good life! She is one stunnly-beautiful calico cat.

Fierce and fabulous, this darling spunky girl survived her early kitten years in the streets finding warmth in the hood of a car engine. Paws, thankfully for her, the care belonged to a true rescue hero who brought into a loving foster home.

Bella is a true conversationalist. Much like me, it sounds...purrs....! She loves to chat with her human about their day and will happily share about hers too.

Bella is a gorgeous charming girl just wanting to meet her forever family!

Woofs! My friends at Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) brought by a pawsome adoptable dog named Marschall who is looking for his "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too.

Marschall is around 3-years-old, a Pitbull mix, is good with some dogs but not with cats. He is mini-human friendly.

Marschall is a happy-go-licky kinda fella who pawsitively loves humans and exploring new pawlaces! BARKS!

Paws, since he was taken for a hoarding situation, living with thirty-five plus dogs, he didn't learn appropriate social skills with other dogs. Woofs, he learned to calmy co-exist with other dogs as he gets overly excited. Woofingly, when he is uncomfortable around another dog, he will calmly walk, or pawssibly run, away. He should be adopted as the only dog since he is working on his social skills with other dogs!

He is completely nonreactive inside, outside, and on walks. He walks well with a head harness on with your guidance.

Marschall is house-trained. He has polite house manners and is pawfect in his crate when he needs to be put inside it.

This fella is a pawsome mix of loving to cuddle and wanting to pawlay! It's nearly impawassible not to fall in love with this goofy lovebug.

Paws, if you have questions about Marschall or would like to meet him, pawlease contact his foster family at EricF.  Woofs you can follow him on Instagram @foreversandfosters.

If you would like to help Marschall with his expenses, including food, water, Veterinary, pawlease sponsor him here. Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by the IRS.

two darling Black Labrador Retriever, Molly and Maxine, who are looking for their "Forever Home!"  with humans to love who will love them too. These two girls must be adopted together. By the way, their combined Adoption Fee is $325 thanks to a generous donor.

Molly and Maxine, a 3- and 4-year-old bonded pair, are looking for their "Forever Home!" in a rural or quiet suburban single-family home. They require a physical fence. Barkingly, they will have a Training Addendum with their adoption.

Barks, these two love playing with toys, each other, and their fosters' Labradors. Paws, they love chewing on bones too. They love running zoomies in the backyard, then taking a nap! Woofs, they walk great on a leash and can be walked together. Barkingly grand, they live going swimming and car rides.

They are recommended for mini-humans ages 10 and older. Woofs, good with other dogs, but have no history with cats.
