"HELLO!! I'm Sundance!"
Credit: Operation Paws for Homes
My human and I have a great time photographing and writing for Operation Paws for Homes along with the other rescues that you read about on my blog!  WOOF!! Yesterday, the dog I was to feature got adopted by the time I was to publish the post about her.  That's barkingly pawsome!!  WOOF!!! I LOVE to hear about dogs and cats finding their "Forever Home."  So, am featuring another dog to introduce to you who is needing a "Forever Home."  Please meet "Sundance!"

Sundance is a happy and loving, 1-year old  Pointer/Pit Bull Terrier mix who loves to run, romp and play not allowing being deaf to slow her down.  Actually, the noises of the world don't scare or bother her which is a real plus!  WOOF!!  Around 40 lbs., Sundance will probably not get much bigger.

Crate trained, and fully housebroken already, Sundance in learning sign language to communicate with her humans!  WOOF!!!
She does well with other dogs, better when they are her own size.  A natural curiosity about other animals because of her playfulness.

Sundance is up to date on shots, spayed and microchipped.  She is interested in meeting a human who will take the time to teach her- she'll be your bestest friend forever!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! WOOF!!!!! My friend "The Lab Lady" has been busy caring for many Labrador Retrievers these days.  She has brought by a friend who looks like he could be my brother!  Am happy introduce you to Bernie!

"Bernie"
Credit: Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.
Barkingly pawsome is this young guy of 10 months!  He came to Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc. from the country, so he would probably not do well in a city enviornment or an apartment/condo/townhouse.

Bernie is house and crate trained, loves to snuggle with his human and is a true Laplab!!  WOOF!! Only way to be!! WOOF!  He is very much a people dog, loves to please and still has lots of puppy in him. And he likes attention so he will greet you with a doggie kiss!

A super smart dog, Bernie likes to have a task.  He's been working on his training and being off leash and knows many of the basic commands!  He is naturally curious but doesn't startle easily.

Bernie is good around kids but hasn't lived with any so he's recommended for children ages 10!!

He is good with other dogs, is living with resident pup at his fosters and played with several at shelter, kennel and met was a hit with the neighbors dogs and children.   Bernie met a cat and was fine with it- though the cat didn't really want to play with him!!

Since Bernie was found wandering a country road, its surprising he is positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia. He is on Doxycycline to cure it.

Interested in meeting this grand dog?  Want to learn about dog adoption?  Contact the Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc. for details.

Meet Cinderella, A two-year old, 37 lbs., pocket-sized American Staffordshire Terrier mix, full of pep!

Cinderella would do best in a home with humans that could take her on regular walks and then cuddle her on the couch afterwards. WOOF!!! The life!!  BARK!

Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

WOOF!! WOOF!! WOOF!!!!! Bark!!! arf?  When I first met "Tico" who my friend "Lab Lady" introduced me to, I thought I was looking in a mirror- he is one cool dog and NEARLY as good looking as I am!! WOOF!!!!!

"Tico"
Credit: Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.
This guy is one very, very, very happy dog and loves humans!! This photo of him looks like the many times I have spent in my human's studio writing this blog and helping him with his photography!!  I have made my human so barkingly happy- despite some dog hair on the computer keypad!  WOOF!!!  Tico would like to keep you company!!!

Tico is house trained- he has his method of letting you know he wants to go out and has gotten used to a crate- he will stay in there quietly overnight or for a few hours if the humans are away!

While staying at his foster's place, he hasn't chewed any furniture, shoes, etc.  He loves to follow the humans around the house always wanting to be in the same room with them!  He starts wagging his tail if you just look at him!!

Barkingly pawsome and intriguing is his interest in wrestling with the resident big labs!  He loves to run and chase them around the backyard at full speed.  He's got a high play drive and will chase tennis balls and fetch or pull on rubber toys. WOOF!!!! WOOF!!! AND, he enjoys a good human wrestling if you are interested but if not, he likes a good ear rub just as well.

Tico knows basic commands but isn't into "stay," because he's so excited to be with you- my human would say that about me- so I don't know what's wrong with that! WOOF!!!!!

So, if you want a pawfully, pawfect, barkingly grand, 2-year old Black Labrador Retreiver, who weighs about 44 lbs., but should be up to 55 lbs., I'm not available BUT - WOOF!!!!   TICO IS!!!!

BARK!!  WOOF!! BARKINGLY PAWSOME- It's FRIDAY!!!!  My friend "Miss Joanne" from Operation Paws for Homes came by to visit me this week- she is such a delightful lady- with her she brought Skippy who is in need of a "Forever Home."  Meet Skippy-
"Skippy"
Credit: Operation Paws for Homes
She is named Skippy because she'll skip, hop, and jump her way into your heart! She loves humans so much, she can't help but jump for joy!! She is approximately 1 year old-

Barkingly pawsome is that she knows not to jump on humans, so she will sit if you remind her, but sometimes she will jump next to you so she can enjoy your smile better!

Skippy gets along great with other dogs and loves to play at the dog park.  She seems like she will get along well with cats too.  She isn't much of a barker and doesn't have the beagle howl!!
"Skippy"

While Skippy is still learning about living in a home, she is learning about crates and when to go outside too! With your patience, she will thank you with tons of tail wagging and doggie kisses!

Skippy makes everyone smile and laugh when they saw her whole body wiggle and round house tail wag! Will you give me another reason to keep on wagging?

A very serious cuddler, Skippy will crack you up with her immediate attachment to you! She definitely will make a loyal companion for someone who wants a sweet and loving active dog.

Interested in meeting Skippy, please contact Operation Paws for Homes.

Friday's Friend! Cat Adoption, Washington Humane Society

Happy Friday!  I love introducing you to many barkingly pawsome friends each Friday that are looking for a "Forever Home." This week is no exception.  I've spent the last few days meeting fellow dogs and cats that need companions and have plenty of love to share with you!! WOOF!!!!!
"Cool Cat 'Rocky'"
Credit: Washington Humane Society
The term "Cool Cat" was created for kitties like "Rockie!"  He's playful, curious, friendly and sweet.  He's everything you'd want rolled into one.  The cat's cat!

Rocky enjoys sitting and thinking about the world around him- maybe doing a few investigations to satisfy his curiosity-  while he enjoys his string and toy mice, he's content to just hang out too!

Hobbies?  WOOF!!!!!! They include being pet by humans, stealing warm seats from humans who mistakenly get up -

Rocky has this sixth sense - when he thinks you need extra attention, he will meowly pawsomely provide head head bumps and leg rubs appropriately as he determines are needed!

Rocky happens to be FIV+ but his status does not define him. With regular vet visits and a nutritious diet, Rocky has a long life ahead of him and will love you every minute of it. Since Rocky is a Hidden Gem, his adoption fee is waived!

A friend of mine who works with Operation Paws for Homes, brought this sweet young lady by for you to meet.  A pupster of around 2-3 years old with eyes that will melt your heart! Meet my friend Gidget-

Gidget weighs approximately 24-pounds, is a small, petite girl with a calm and gentle demeanor and soft, golden medium-length hair.  She loves rolling in the grass and napping in the sun's rays.

A shy, low energy girl, she just wants to be by her human's side- where she'll quickly roll over for a belly rub once you start petting her! She warms up to humans with a few kind words and a gentle touch.

Gidget is good with other dogs and would likely do well with cats due to her gentle disposition. She has excellent house manners and seems to be housebroken and crate trained.

She is up-to-date on shots, mircrochipped, and already spayed.  sweet girl has so much love to give and would make a wonderful addition to any family!

Charlie, nicknamed Charlie Bear, is a 5 year old Yellow Labrador Retriever who weighs about 65 pounds.  He is one cool pawfriend!!

Charlie enjoys running, taking long walks and trying to see what's coming up next so he tends to pull on the leash abit!! WOOF!!! After a block or so, he's settled down some!

Charlie is looking for a family who will allow him to meet humans at his own pace. If they introduce themselves with cheese (Woof- why didn't I think of that!)  it will just make me love them more!!

"Vance"
Credit: Operation Paws for Homes
Vance is a hound/lab mix that is really cool!  I should know since I am one too!! WOOF!!!!

He warms up quick to any human he meets and even follows commands given by a 7 and sometimes a 5 year old!!  He knows some basic commands like sit, down and leave it!!

A curious fellow, Vance likes to check out things laying around but does play rough with stuff- other than his toys.

He has a healthy puppy appetite and loves to be rewarded with a bone every now and then. And, WOOF, he learns well with treats!

Vance would much rather curl up with his human than be in his crate and is quite an angel when he's there.  He doesn't have the early morning puppy wake up call and will even let you sleep in some!!

While Vance is happy lounging on his dog bed, he'll steal your spot on the couch after you've warmed it up for him.  He loves cuddling and a good belly rub!

His house training is coming along well -he'll even bark when he needs to go outside!
