Friday's Friend, Dog Adoption, Cat Adoption, Returns August 5

Woofs! Meows! Since COVID, for some reason, we have had some challenges obtaining information on a timely basis for our weekly column, "Friday's Friend!" This week being no exception.

We have been pawing about our canine and feline friends for a little more than ten years. We have enjoyed every minute of our writing though we often wish that all our friends had homes so we wouldn't need to write about them and our rescue volunteer friends didn't have to work finding them homes.

We pawlan to return to writing "Friday's Friend!" next week!

Paws, Jaycee is a retired mom who is looking for a quiet home to teach her all about life and all she's been missing! A diamond in the rough who's a bit shy but warms up after a few treats!

WOOFS! She loves attention, is a human pawleaser and eager to be taught all the basics of being the bestest-dog-ever! She will benefit from having at least one other confident dog to help build he confidence!

Jaycee is crate-trained. She uses it at night and when her humans go out. Barkingly, Jaycee loves snuggling and will melt into your lap if you let her. WOOFS!

Jaycee created a video to help with her adoption: Jaycee Retrieving

Woofs, she is good cats and other dogs who will respect her space. She is good with mini-humans ages 10 and older!

Pawingly, these two fellas are like two peas in a pod! At three-years-old, they have a soft spot for quality time with their humans but only like being held for short periods.

Pop Rocks and Bubble Gum have chill and calm energy. Meows, they love napping in their human's bed.

The fun pair are playful and enjoy catnip toys, balls on a track, and pompoms are their pawsome favorite.

Meowingly, Bubble Gum is the more passive of the pair being a bit shy and gentle. Purrings, he is full of kindness and lovin's for his brother with a passion.

Meows, Pop Rocks was born to be a boss. He's the alpha of the two and is the sweetest fella to his brother. He loves greeting his humans at the front door. Pawings, he thinks he's a chef in training as he enjoys watching his foster humans cooking.

Purrs, these guys are suitable for mini-humans ages 8 and older. They are wary of dogs but can adjust to avoid them. Meows, they are neutered and up-to-date and vaccines. These pawsomely grand fellas will be the bestest pets any humans could have and are ready to fill your home full of love and happiness.

Woofs! Happy Friday! This has been one fast week! I know those working in offices, including those at home, are happy they have a 3-day weekend ahead. For us, Dad retired 7 years ago to explore fun stuff in life and hasn't looked back. The only difference is instead of shopping on Saturdays, he goes during the week when it's less crowded! WOOFS! This weekend is the 4th of July celebrations. Pawlease be careful! If you have a dog, please learn about "Missing Dogs and Fireworks" from yesterday's post!

My pawsome friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue brought by a beautiful female 2-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever named Savannah for you to consider adopting. She is looking for her "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too. She is looking for a rural or suburban single-family home with a physical fence. She must be your one-and-only-dog-that-is! She will have a Training Addendum attached to her adoption.

Savannah is full of lovin's, lab leans, and is a velcro-girl to her humans! She is very human-friendly and enjoys being petted, brushed, lounging on the deck in the sunshine, and going for car rides.

Barkingly, she is very good in the home and loves her squeaky toys which she'll throw in the air and catch. Paws, she wants a yard to run around and pawlay. She will thrive with love, playing, running around, or going for walks. She is house-broken.

Arfs. Savannah has recovered week from her spay and lump removal from her head. WOOFS! WOOFS! Nothing to worry about.

She is very smart and attentive to her surroundings, sights, and noises.

Savannah will need consistent training as it's pawssible she's never been trained. She will do well with a human experienced with smart dogs.

Savannah made a few videos to help herself get adopted:

Savannah is good with other dogs with pawper introduction but not sure about cats. She is approved for mini-humans ages 10 and older.
