A topic that I don't like to discuss, but it's important. I agree with it and support it. So, I really should, but for us male dogs, this is one I cringe at writing. So, Dad you tell them......
Ok, so I don't like to discuss this either because well, you know.... so I will share a link from a group I follow online.... this will make it easier for both of us...meet WebVet- they are always sharing great info. with us.....

There, we shared , right?? RIGHT!!!

A Puppy- An email story
My human received this in an email from my grandpa. He shared it with me... I love it, so gotta share with you. I have no idea who wrote it. Grab a tissue first, it's great:
A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and
Set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.
As he was driving the last nail into the
Post, he felt a tug on his overalls.
He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.
"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat
Off the back of his neck, "These puppies come
From fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment.
Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a
Handful of change and held it up to the farmer.
"I've got thirty-nine cents.
Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran
Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence.
His eyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.
Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller.
Down the ramp it slid.
Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up...
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said,
"Son, you don't want that puppy.
He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence,
Reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers.
In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down
Both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.
Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands"
With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup.
Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.
"How much?" asked the little boy... "No charge,"
Answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."
If you are the writer of this poem, please let me know and I will give you credit or remove the post.

Saturday's Success Story
As you can probably tell by now, I like to label stuff..... "Friday's Friend" and now, "Saturday's Success Story." Dad had to hide his box of labels and pens after he discovered my talents.
Today, I want to share with you a success story. It's all true. You know how you are always reading about dogs and cats needing adoption (haven't read anything about snakes or hamsters or anything else so I focus here)?! Here's a picture and a quick story about a successful adoption PetConnect Rescue had with one of their dogs.
"When I came across Bufford's picture on your website, I was in smitten. When I met him for the first time, I was in love. He came up to me and gently placed his adorable paw on my knee. We had chosen each other. He is the the sweetest, most loving, most gentle dog I could ask for. I have met the love of my life!"
Looking for a friend, a companion? Check out www.petconnectrescue.org, you might find a dog or cat to be blessed by too.

Friday's Friend
Good Day!! I've got the opportunity to introduce you to another Friday's Friend. What a beautiful dog she is!!! (Oops, excuse me, Lulu!)
Wow! This girl's story is incredible- she would make a wonderful friend!! This is Tillie!!! She came to her foster parents last October pregnant and about to give birth any day. She had a broken pelvis, was emaciated and had a curable skin disease on her face. This poor dog had been doomed at the shelter and her incredible story was just now beginning..
Tillie is a wonderful dog, about 2 years old, 60lbs, with an even better tempermanent and personality. She is friendly with everyone she meets and loves being around children, especially under the high chair. Her canine foster sister and feline foster brother are her best buds and she enjoys their company. Tillie's broken pelvis required a double hip replacement surgery and she is now almost finished her recovery period so we are starting the search for her new home. She will never be that lightening bolt, go, go go Lab and will need to be on Glucosamine for life. This is not to say this girl doesn't enjoy romping around and having a good time. Tillie's perfect home would be one with other dogs and maybe a cat, children, fenced yard and people around much of the time.
If you are looking for a companion that will love you forever and just slip into your heart basically overnight Tillie is the girl for you. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully house broken, crate trained (although does not need a crate) and up-to-date on vaccinations. For more information and to apply for adoption, please fill out an application at www.petconnectrescue.org.
Paws Note: If you would like to see pics and a short story about Tillie, please check out this blog Tillie and Puppies (Be sure to return to me, please!)

Friday's Friend
Oh WOW!! This is soooooo cool!!! This week's Friday's Friend is really special! First, my Dad took the pic and my Mom is holding the cat (I gotta speak to her about that- but then she is a little cat crazy- )
Meet Mrs. Beasley- I wonder if she is related to the Mrs. Beasley on the TV show "Family Affair" that my Dad likes to watch on DVD, once in awhile- And that's my mom in the background!!!
Since Mom is holding this cat, she must be really special – and, you all know cats aren’t my favorite, but even I have to admit she's a good looking kitty! Mrs. Beasley was dumped at a farm in a Rubbermaid container with two of her friends (where did Buffy go?). Now she’s safe in a loving foster home, but still needs to find a person or family of her own. Not one to hold a grudge, Mrs. Beasley is a friendly, loving cat (did I really write that- for all my dog friends-Dad made me do it), who while shy at first warms up quickly. To meet Mrs. Beasley (born in April 2011) please visit my friends at PetConnect Rescue and look for Mrs. Beasley in the “Adopt a Cat” section.

Dog Care Tips -Ice, Snow, and Rock Salt
A little late in the season to share this tip- but it’s worth mentioning since we have a few more weeks of winter and who knows what’s going to happen weatherwise! We haven’t had much snow this winter, but a few weekends ago, I had to walk my human in it.
After you walk your human in snow and ice, you need to have him/her check your paws for ice, sand, and rock salt you may have picked up while walking. Sometimes, in this weather, you can get one of those things in your paws, or between the toes, and if you’re not careful, you could develop problems. All you have to do is have your human inspect all four paws, I know I hate this too, kinda personal, but I’d rather he do this than I get sick. And, it should only take a few minutes.
If it makes you feel better, take your humans shoes and soaks off and check between his toes for stuff- this could be gross so be careful!!- you know how humans can be.

The Cats
Dad went on a photo shoot Sat. for PetConnect Rescue. They wanted him to get some shots of cats for their website and to assist them in getting "Forever Homes".
I didn't like it too much, him taking time away from me to assist cats. But, then, I got to thinking about they need humans too. Or, maybe better said that humans need them. Every cat, I've meet has never needed anyone.... so they say!! Funny critters- I don't mind needing a human because I get spoiled and have a lot of fun...
Here's a few pics of the cats my Dad did: (If you have interest in adopting one, or just getting more information, go to www.petconnectrescue.org.

Friday's Friend
Hey! Are you looking for a companion to help you de-stress after a long day at work or sitting in that crazy traffic? You should see my humans after some of their commutes- I can always tell when it's been bad because they come home with their hair standing straight up and eyes bulging out. It's my job to help them relax so they can enjoy their evening- petting me, of course!!
Well, if you're looking for a companion, Friday's Friend spotlight features "Camille." This is her:
Camille had a ruff start. She was born in the fall of 2010 and had a litter of seven kittens when she was little more than a kitten herself! Now I don’t always understand why some people want to have a kitty (when they could have a dog), but I sure admire a mom who takes care of her little ones – that’s really important! Her kittens have been adopted and now she needs a human and a home of her own. If you or someone you know can give her a safe and loving home please visit the PetConnect website look for Camille PetConnect Rescue.

My HERO- A Foster Parent
VIPs (Very Important People)
I got to thinking last night while I was walking with my Dad, that I’m a very lucky boy! I haven't always have such a wonderful home and a great human. And that there are many really deserving dogs (oh yeah, and cats) that are in cages in shelters who are very sad because they don’t have a family or person of their own. I wanted to tell you about wonderful people who help - they’re called FOSTERS, and they are my HEROES!

Rescuers take dogs and cats out of shelters and bring them to the foster’s homes. Fosters take care of dogs and cats until their forever people can find them. They give these animals love and care for them like they were their own. Fosters are FANTASTIC! But there aren’t enough fosters for all the cats and dogs who need them. If you want to find out more about becoming a foster please visit my friends at Pet Connect Rescue (PetConnect Rescue). Check it out- you'll be glad that you did.
Tell them Noah sent you!! :)
And, a special thanks to Barbara Kertress of PetConnect Rescue for submitting this article to me (even though she works with cats- she's a cool lady).

Friday's Friend
For those wondering, yes, I know it's Thursday and I'm posting "Friday's Friend" on Thursday, but there is a pawthod in my madness ..... posting today allows the email to go out and search engines time to pick up my writings therefore gaining attention to my friends looking for homes. Pretty smart dog, aren't I?
Got another cat to introduce you to this week. Take a look at this cat's pic.
And here's some info. about him:
This handsome (for a cat) boy was born in August of 2009 and he’s quite a character! He loves to play with the other cat in his foster home and he enjoys a good snuggle with his foster dad. So far, curiosity hasn’t gotten this cat in trouble; Griff loves to explore and watch the birds in his backyard (from the safety of his home – Griff is an indoor kitty). He’ll keep you laughing with his antics! If you’d like to meet Griff, please visit the PetConnect Rescue website: PetConnect Rescue .

Introducing Kona- PetConnect Rescue
My Dad went across town on Saturday to photograph another dog for PetConnect Rescue. I love it when he does this because it means he's helping other dogs and cats find "Forever Homes." I try not to get jealous but when he comes home with a strange dogs smell all over his clothes- sometimes I just have to pin him down and "remind" him who he BELONGS to.
Anyway, meet Kona.....Dad says he's a fun dog- wanted to play the whole time he was there...... for information on adoption, go to www.petconnectrescue.org.

Friday's Friend
Yup, got two more friends to introduce you to this week. I was on vacation away from my humans (I got to be spoiled by some great friends down the street) last week and didn't have much access to the internet. So, I want to write another "Friday's Friend"!!
Meet Commander and Commander!! YAY!! TWO HUGE DOGS TO RUN AND PLAY AND WRESTLE AND HAVE FUN AND... oops... sorry... got carried away.....
Captain and his brother Commander are Foxhound mix brothers who are now 1 yr old. They were given up to a shelter when their family decided they had no time for dogs. Sweet and affectionate, Captain is great with other dogs as well as children, but probably should not be in a home with cats. While he is friendly with other dogs, he can be a bit overwhelming to dogs who can’t match his energy level. Captain is the more active of the brothers and seems to have an endless supply of energy. He enjoys any kind of play that involves being active, but also enjoys chew toys and bones. Captain is crate-trained, housebroken, neutered, and up-to-date on shots. Since these Foxhounds are natural hunters, the ideal home would have some acreage, or at least a high fenced yard. If you would like to know more about Captain, please complete an online application. Then call Cheri at 301-655-3349 .

Friday's Friend
I've got a new friend to introduce you to this week. Meet Cody. This one actually sounds like a cool cat -I'd like to meet- (did I say that? my editor probably snuck that in to be polite).
This cool cat's name is Cody and is only 9 months old, but don’t let that fool you – he's a playful kitten at heart! He love wrestling with the other foster kittens and cats and is an expert at chasing a little red dot that my foster mom calls a laser pointer. When the other kitties aren't in the mood, I even try to play with the dog that lives here. He’s not as fast, but I enjoy trying to catch his tail when its wagging. If you’re looking for a fun companion, then I’m your guy! I’d love to find my forever home with a person or family that has a cat or a dog that I can play with and a nice lap or two where I can snuggle. If that’s you – you can find out more about me at PetConnect Rescue .
If you're looking for a family cat, this one sounds specially cool- be sure to check him out!! (I think my vacation from my humans has weird-ed out my brain cells).
