Woofs! Meows! Barks! Ever had one of those weeks where you were running crazy busy every single day? Barkings, that's what our humans have had! 

It started out simple enough, then Abby went to stay at Paws Awhile Pet Motel for a two-day vacation. Then, Samson was all set up with food and water for a pawsomely grand overnight vacation of his own. 

Dad and Mom headed to Richmond for a Newsboys concert, one of Dad's favorite Christian rock music bands. He hadn't heard them in concert for pawssibly twenty years or more. Woofs. Since it would be late, they stayed overnight in town and came home the next evening. 

Meows! I just pawssitively purrings loved my two days of quiet time. No dogs barking. No loud, annoying Dad to pester me all day, but I meowingly missed my cuddle time with Momma. 

Then, when they got home, they were off and running to work and other things they needed to catch up on. 

Barks and Meows, as you know, the three of us are not supposed to write on our blog when our human isn't around- adult supervision is required, you know. 

Paws, we pawlan to return next week to writing about our furry friends who need "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love them too. 

Friday's Friend, Cat Adoption, Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART)

Meows! Happy Friday, friends! My darling friends at Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) have been pawfully busy caring for the cats they have rescued and finding them homes. They brought by a darling young kitty for you to consider adopting. Pawlease meet Myna!

Myna is looking for her "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too! She is around one-year-old, not declawed, and is friendly with other cats. She has no known history with dogs. She is pawssibly friendly with mini-humans.

Myna is such a darling sweetie, she will become the love of your life. She will readily climb into your lap and look at you adoringly while purring nonstop.

Meows, she is smart and loving. She is learning the routine of the household, making sure she's in the right spot for pets, and getting some lovins!

Purrings, she actively wants to pawlay and bond with her human. If you are looking for an engaging cat, she could be it!

Myna is a sweet lap kitty who wants to be your one-and-only-cat-that-is, so she's best suited for a one-cat home.

Friday's Friend, Dog Adoption, Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART)

Woofs! Happy Friday! Are you prepared for the storm coming in? If you live near I-95 and east, you'll probably get a bit of a tropical storm during the day tomorrow. Paws, for us, we are supposed to just get a lot of rain. Our road will probably wash out again, but, barkingly, that's part of the pawsome life in the country. Dad and I will have fun listening to music, reading, and pawssibly watch some TV staying dry. Dad says I make all of life so much more fun than it would be without me! Do you have a dog?

My friends from Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) brought by an incredibly handsome fella looking for his "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too! Meet Frazier!

Frazier is around 7-months-old, he is mini-human- and dog-friendly but has no history with cats. WOOFS! He is pawssibly a Carolina Dog and Shepherd mix!

Barkingly, Frazier is a good, happy, and intelligent dog who is always eager to pawlease! He loves mini-humans and would do great in a home with them.

Woofs, in a few very short weeks that he's been at HART, Frazier has learned lots of house manners, including "sit," "stay," "wait," and "leave it!" He's had several formal obedience classes.

Frazier knows to wait for his food until the "ok" command and tends to be very gentle in taking treats. He does not jump on anyone. Paws, he has never counter-surfed or jumped up on the furniture. 

Barkinglys, he is pawretty much fully housebroken as he's not had any accidents in a long time. When asked if he needs to go "potty," and he does, he will go to the door.

He pawsitively loves curling up with his human to get affection and gives sweet doggy kisses. He loves being with his human or family. 

He has only barked when he thinks something could be threatening the house. 

A fenced yard where he could run zoomies in the backyard and chase a ball or frisbee around would be ideal. 

Woofs, he has a bin of his toys that he will go to and pick one out to play with to occupy himself while you are working. Paws, he will want to curl up under your desk to be near you.

Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue

 

Woofs! Happy Friday! My human and I have had a pawsomely adventurous week! Dad says its so pawsome to have me around to buddy with. Barkingly, I make life so much fun! What you don't have a dog? Paws, my friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue brought by a handsome young fella named Sam who is looking for his "Forever Home!"

Sam is looking for a single-family home in a rural or suburban setting. He has no fence requirement, barkingly, he needs minimal steps and to go home with another dog! 

BARKS! Sam is doing well in his foster home. He is a goofy young fella who pawsitively loves his toys and playing fetch indoors. He enjoys walks in the park and exploring new pawlaces! He loves humans, nylabones, takes treats and toys gently, loves snuggling, and has pawsome house manners. 

Woof, Sam might be a little hesitant in new surroundings. He would like to find a home with another dog who will help him along. Bark. 

Prior to coming to Lab Rescue, Sam had an injury, a fractured pelvis and femur. Paws, it affects his mobility, so he will always walk with a funny gait. Barkingly, he doesn't let it slow him down. Since it is an old injury, there is nothing the rescue can do to help him. Bark. He has responded nicely to physical therapy and is continuing to receive it. Though he prefers minimal stairs, he has been able to go up and down in his foster's home. Woof, Sam is learning to use a ramp to get into his foster's small SUV and his foster's bed!

Sam is approved for mini-humans ages 10 and older. He has no known history with cats.

Friday's Friend! Cat Adoption, PetConnect Rescue

MEOWS! Happy Friday! WHEW! It's been a hot week! At least that's what my humans tell me, as I am not about to go outside, not to mention my humans won't let me. They say it's safer for a handsome, incredibly cute cat like me to be inside. I love it as I get to nap, snack, eat, nap, snack, eat, and repeat. Meows. Oh, occasionally, I allow my mom human to cuddle with me.

My fine friend, "Cat Lady," from PetConnect Rescue brought by a beautiful cat looking for her "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too! Purrs, meet Mabel.

Mabel is 3-1/2 years old. She is good with other cats, dogs, and mini-humans. She is a calm and gentle girl with occasional outbursts of energy and excitement! Paws, she mostly enjoys going with the flow.

Purrings, she is a curious and adventure-ready gal whose missing her "Forever Home!" and bestest friend!

Meowingly, once she is comfortable in her new "Forever Home!," you are likely to find her keeping an eye on the goings-on in the world perched from a window. She'll be practicing long-distance jumping and checking in on her humans!

Purrs, Mabel is a vocal cat who pawsitively enjoys greeting and starting conversations with her humans. She is a pawlayful cat who likes exploring new foods and finding ways to keep busy. It is impawtant to give her a stimulating environment.

Meowing, she is not overly food- or play-driven. She likes to take things at her own pace. Once you've passed her pawsonal background check, you will have a lifelong furriend.

Paws, if you are patient, can provide a calm, yet enriching environment, Mabel might be the pawfect cat for you.

Mabel is fully vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, spayed, litter box trained, and ready to go home today.

Friday's Friend! Cat Adoption, The Humane Society of Loudoun County

Meows! Happy Friday, my fine furiends! I hope you have some pawsome pawlans for this three-day weekend. I think my humans have a few ideas but I will be pawtrolling the house keep everything secure and safe for my family. Abby will pawbably bark a bit which helps. When the humans are around we'll cuddle and love and cuddle some more! Meows. Spending time with me, Abby, and Noah always makes our human's free time much more fun! Purrs!!

My furiends from The Humane Society of Loudoun County brought a fine furry feline for you to consider adopting. Purrs, Marley is looking for his "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too.

Marley is a handsome tabby and white lovable fella! He is around 3 years old.

Meowingly, Marley thinks being FIV+ means he has superpowers! Paws, who is going to tell him any different? He is an amenable fella who is more of a lover than a fighter. He just wants everyone to get along!

Marley's favorite pastimes include sleeping on the floor, on the bed, in the sun, and in his cat bed. MEOW! After living life outdoors, he is happy to finally feel safe and secure to sleep anywhere without have to keep an eye open!

Meowings, Markey is looking forward to finding that "Forever Home!" with humans that will let him come out of his shell to become all-he-can-be as the bestest-cat-ever!

Marley is current on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Paws, he's even had a recent dental. He'd love to find his "Forever Home!" with a buddy, preferably another FIV+ cat. Paws, he's mostly looking for a soft bed, a full food bowl, and a playful pal.
