WOOFS! WOOF! Barking, happy Friday my friends! Are you looking to adopt a dog, how about adopting two and double your fun with these to mostest adorablest female Black Labrador Retrievers? We all know Black Labrador Retrievers are the bestest dogs ever, right? Barks! My friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue brought by Queen and Ninny who are looking for their "Forever Homes!" together with humans to love who will love them both too! These girls are bonded-buddy's and must be adopted together! Barks.

Woofs, Queen is around 2-years-old and Ninny around 6-years-old are looking for their "Forever Homes" in a rural or suburban single-family home. They do not have a fence requirement. Barkingly, a Training Addendum will be required.

Barkingly, Ninny and Queen are a mother/daughter pair with fun personalities and excellent house manners. Ninny is Queens mom and Queen doesn't like to be separated from her. They do not need to be crated, with their pawsome manners, they do not get into anything! Barks, they enjoy running and playing together which pawsomely leads to wrestling! The pawsome pair know a few basic commands.

Ninny likes to collect shoes but doesn't chew or destroy them. She just likes to curl up with them. Woofs, she hasn't smelled my humans shoes! Pawingly, playing with hose water and frisbees are favorites!

Queen has been checking out her interest in swimming while at her foster's home. She enjoys gardening but that's pawssibly mostly to steal tomatoes! WOOFS! Snuggling and sleeping on your lap are her favorite pastimes! She will always be by your side especially if you work from home!

These darlings created a few videos to help them get adopted:

Lazy Play!

Napping Together!

Queen and Ninny's foster mom has fostered several bonded-buddies over the years and says these two are the most affectionate pair yet!

The bond-buddies are recommended for mini-humans ages 10 and older. They have no known history with cats!

Remember Me Thursday! September 23, The Helen Woodward Animal Center

(C) 2021, Remember Me Thursday®
(C) 2021, Remember Me Thursday®

Woofs, Meows, Woof, today we remember "Remember Me Thursday" a yearly campaign sponsored by the Helen Woodward Animal Center! The campaign is designed to bring attention to homeless dogs and cats.

At "from The Dog's Paw!," Samson, Abby, and I write weekly posts to help our friends, dogs and cats, who lost their homes through, most often, no fault of their own! The post is written with graphics created because our human loves dogs and cats and wants to help them find their "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love them!

Our humans have been advocates for adopting rescued dogs and cats as they have had 3 Maine Coon cats and 3 Black Labrador Mixes dogs. Barkingly, why breed-specific? Though at first, not intentionally, but now a preference. For the cats, Dad was pawsitively absolutely terrified of cats until he was introduced to a Maine Coon cat which he named, "Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, "Choral" "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beethoven, "Symphony" for short. MEOWS! Meowingly, after that pawsome experience, we have always adopted Maine Coons!

Woofs, Black Labrador Retrievers? Dad was given a Black Labrador Retriever mix as his first dog in his adult life. He loved the dog quite a bit as it was his first dog that wasn't a German Shepherd. Woofsly, this was his first mostly black dog too. Growls, when he learned about how many black dogs do not make it out of the animal shelters, he decided to adopt as many Black Labradors or other black dogs, as he could in his lifetime. Now, he is on his third with Abby.

Barks! Not all dogs and cats make it out of the shelters. Sadly, many lose their lives through no fault of their own and it's truly upsetting. HISS! We can't write about every single pet needing a "Forever Home!" as there isn't enough time for us to do it all. Pawlease consider adopting a dog or cat from a shelter or a rescue. Barkingly, unable to adopt? Consider volunteering with a rescue or shelter and do your part in helping animals. We would like to share a poem from Mike Arms which shares the plight of many dogs and cats in shelters and rescues:

Woofs, let's all do our part in helping dogs and cats making the numbers of homeless shrink until it exists no more!

(C) 2021, Remember Me Thursday®

Today, we light a candle to remember our family's dogs and cats who have gone on to heaven after many years of lovin's! Barkingly, and in memory of those pets who never got adopted or had the love of humans.

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

(C) 2021, from The Dog's Paw!
(C) 2021, from The Dog's Paw!

WOOFS! MEOWS! Today at 3:20 p.m. will be the official Autumnal Equinox. Barkingly, it will last for appawximately three months to the Winter Solstice!

Barks, this year, we are looking forward to the beautiful colors of the fall season. We moved out of the suburban area, leaving the crazy city life behind for the country. Noah and I are excited to see the nature display throughout the region, especially the mountains. Woofs! With the colors of leaves in the trees throughout the community, we might see a few bears preparing for the winter and other critters enjoying the season.

Paws, what is the Autumnal Equinox? The Autumnal Equinox is when the sun rises east and sets due west crossing the celestial equator in a southerly direction. The word "Equinox," a Latin word meaning equal night. Pawingly, there is equal daylight and nighttime!

Barks, enjoy the fall season with all its much pawsome glorious weather!

Honoring and Remembering Our Families and First Responders for September 11!

(C) 2021, from The Dog's Paw!
(C) 2021, from The Dog's Paw!

WOOF! MEOW! BARK! Today, Samson, Abby, and me want to pawse in our usual writings to honor and remember those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We were not alive back in those days, but our humans were and have sad yet grateful to God for the events of the day.

Meows, Dad says the day began normal enough. A typical September day, a bit of chill in the air and abundant sunshine. Paws, the day took a dark and frightening turn when terrorists struck the Twin Towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Woofs, fortunately, the passengers on one plane foiled the plans of the terrorists causing their plane to crash in a field in Pennsylvania. A staggering 2,750 humans were killed in New York City, 184 at the Pentagon, 40 in Pennsylvania, and more than 400 police officers and firefighters who had rushed to the scene to help the victims.

Paws, today is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. Woofs and meows, while we cannot pawssibly visit every single human who lost a family member on that day, we can give our wishes of dog and cat love, paws full of lovin's and pawlenty of dog and cat kisses to help soothe you through this day.

Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Cat Adoption Returns Friday, September 17!

(C) 2021, from The Dog's Paw!
WOOF!

BARK!

MEOWS!

Barkingly, an impawtant part of dog and cat ownership is having a human besides your own to take care of you when the need arises! We have a buddy who comes to take care of us when Mom and Dad travel and we can't go with them. In return, Dad does the same for our friend and his wife when they travel.

Barkingly, we aren't allowed to use the internet to post our stories without the adult supervision of Dad or Mom. Paws, we decided to take the day off.

Samson, Abby and me will return to writing about our friends from local rescues needing "Forever Homes!" with humans to love who will love them too, next week.
