HAPPY FRIDAY!!! WOOF!!! Barkingly pawsome the weekend is here once again!

My friend "Lab Lady" has brought me another friend to introduce to you today.

This guy is about my age so he is young and full of fun.  Meet London!

"London"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.
A 7-year old, 72 lbs., Chocolate Labrador Retriever, London spent Thanksgiving traveling with his foster parent to their parents house.  He traveled in the car well, enjoying the scenery and getting the attention of the passenger for the occasional petting and attention.  At his foster grandparents house, he explored the first floor of the house a bit, then settled into the family room with the family.  WOOF!!!!

During the night, London heard some unfamiliar footsteps and barked to acknowledge it.  Once he determined what it was, he headed back to his bed.

London is a great companion who will follow you from room to room while you're doing chores. He will be happy to sit and supervise making sure you don't forget any important detail.

Barkingly grand, if you are watching TV, he will make himself comfortable not far from you!  He is a laid back guy and appreciates all affection he gets!  WOOF!

London is quite the gentleman with excellent house manners.  He even gets free roam of his foster's home when they aren't home! BARK!!! Pawsome Pup!  He's even polite at dinner- watching as it's prepared but not begging or hovering waiting for a crumb to drop.

He has his favorite toys, an orange rubber ball and an orange Kong. He loves playtime and rather retrieve and return the kong than search for the treat inside!

London walks great on an regular collar and does not pull, he looks at the human on the leash a lot as if to say "are we going the right way?" Another dog lives in the foster home but London doesn't play with her, he is more interested in human interaction.

He knows basic commands,  like "sit" and "down."

We don't know his history with cats or children, so he's approved for kids 10 and up!

If you would like to meet London and learn about dog adoption, please visit, Lab Rescue of LR.C.P., Inc. .

Jamie is a spirited, courageous, super friendly pup who is affectionate around humans. He will do well with someone living alone or a family!  An environment with the opportunity for lots of exercise and play would be the best for him as he is still a puppy.

Friday's Friend: Cat Adoption, Washington Humane Society

Cats.  Cat Adoption.  Two subjects I enjoy visiting when I get the chance.  They are barkingly pawsome, or maybe I should say 'meowingly pawsome, pets.  They make great companions and are the number #1 pet in the nation.

This week, my friends at the Washington Humane Society, brought by a pawsome mature cat named King for me to introduce to you-  WOOF!

"King"

A cat in the prime of his life, King makes the perfect house companion as he has great manners, is a big cuddly love bug and a mushy purr monster!

He loves humans and wants nothing more than to snuggle up with you while you're reading a book or watching TV!

Even though he is an older guy, King has a good chunk of life ahead of him and a lot of love left to give!  Barkingly pawsome, oops meowingly and don't tell my buddies, he’s gotten all of the mischievousness out of his system and will not get under your feet or climb your curtains!

King is a ten-year-old, twelve lbs., domestic shorthair cat. Interested in meeting him and learning about cat adoption? You can do so at the Washington Humane Society's New York Avenue Adoption Center, located at 1201 New York Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20012, 202-576-6664, or visit Washhumane.org/adopt.

WOOF!! Hope you had a barkingly pawsome Thanksgiving with family and friends!! Mine was a bit different this year- my humans went out to eat so I didn't get to sneak my annual piece of ham- but maybe later.   And, my human said he really missed me yesterday since I couldn't go to the restaurant with him, Mom, and gramps.  But, he's got a great day for us today which is one of the best reasons dog adoption is so pawsome.  Spending time together doing stuff! BARK!!

My friend "Lab Lady" stopped by this week to introduce "Bandit!"  She was on her way to celebrating her Thanksgiving too-

Bandit lost his home when his human moved and couldn't take him!  He was taken to a shelter where he was rescued.

A handsome, almost as good looking as me, 4 year old, 80 lbs., Black Labrador Retriever, Bandit was sent to a Prison and Pets local program where he learned basic commands.  He is one loyal guy!! WOOF!!!

House and crate trained, though he doesn't care for the crate too much, he'll use it.  Bandit does well when walking on the leash and meeting other dogs.

Bandit has no cat or child history, no he's be best with children ages 10 and up.

He is up to date on shots, and needs a few boosters done, but is ready for his humans and a new "Forever Home" to begin enjoying life with.

Want to learn about dog adoption and meet Bandit, please contact my friends at the Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc..

Happy Thanksgiving!

PAWS TO YOU on this Thanksgiving Day!

May your human "accidentally" drop a piece of meat
on the floor- just for you!

May your human realize he's eaten too much
and take you on a nice long walk!

May your human realize a good game
of fetch will remedy that overeating status!

May your human show his thankfulness for you
with a few extra treats!

May your human spend time cuddling and petting you
and scratching that ever so good feeling spot and not stop for hours!

May your human skip "Black Friday" shopping
to spend  the day with you!"

I am thankful for the many readers of my work-
and my human's when I let him write!

WOOF!!
