WOOF! MEOW! BARK! Today, Samson, Abby, and me want to pawse in our usual writings to honor and remember those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We were not alive back in those days, but our humans were and have sad yet grateful to God for the events of the day.

Meows, Dad says the day began normal enough. A typical September day, a bit of chill in the air and abundant sunshine. Paws, the day took a dark and frightening turn when terrorists struck the Twin Towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Woofs, fortunately, the passengers on one plane foiled the plans of the terrorists causing their plane to crash in a field in Pennsylvania. A staggering 2,750 humans were killed in New York City, 184 at the Pentagon, 40 in Pennsylvania, and more than 400 police officers and firefighters who had rushed to the scene to help the victims.

Paws, today is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. Woofs and meows, while we cannot pawssibly visit every single human who lost a family member on that day, we can give our wishes of dog and cat love, paws full of lovin's and pawlenty of dog and cat kisses to help soothe you through this day.
