Pet Bloggers Gift Exchange

Well, this is a first for me and I'm glad I decided to participate in Pamela from Something Wagging This Way Comes idea of a Pet Bloggers Gift Exchange.  The idea is to share a gift of encouragement, a kind note or anything positive as a gift.

Those who follow me on a regular basis know what a challenge for me this can be since my human is so fussy about where I surf to on the internet.  He should just get a doggie board and come along for the ride- ! ! !

"Me!"
Pamela matched me up with Sue who writes The Golden Life which is so cool. My human and I surfed and pawed over to her blog a few times over the past month or so and loved what we read.

Her style is like your reading a story of her life with three dogs.  She draws you into her writing.  Yes, I realize blogging is a less formal style of writing but some got it, some don't, Sam's got it.  I am impressed with her willingness to share posts for other bloggers.  Reading her blog is much like being right there in her life, or in her house while she's playing or working with her Goldens (Callie and Shadow) and her newest addition "Ducky" who happens to be a handsome dog and probably really smart- did I mention Ducky looks a lot like me- ??

Happy New Year and many "BARKS!" for much success with Ducky and your blog.

You are so right about Sue's storytelling. I've been really engaged by her struggles in working with Ducky. Rescuing a dog is so rewarding. But it isn't always easy and I'm touched by her honesty in working through Ducky's struggles.

BTW, I have to say that every time I open this page, I smile at the banner photo of Noah. It's wonderful.

Will you be going to BlogPaws? It's scheduled for your neighborhood in May. Maybe we'll meet.

Thank you so much for joining the Pet Blogger Gift Exchange.

WOW!! Thanks for the compliments, Allen! And Noah! And Pamela! I've never thought of my blog posts as "engaging" before...for the most part I've just been writing what I think/feel at the time; and after some grammatical/spelling tweaks, posting for my own record. Kinda my way of keeping track of the "trials, tribulations, and joys" of being a pet parent (or whatever else I might have to say on a particular day). I am truly touched by the encouragement you have all given me!

And Noah, you're a handsome boy! Callie, Shadow and Ducky all send you a respectful butt sniff and lip lick. Ducky does look like she could be your little sister, doesn't she? But can you make your ears stand up like hers do, with the little flop-over at the very top?

Happy New Year! Looking forward to more of your posts! Don't know when I'll be able to publish another one of ours, with all this post-holidays work I have to do around the house, but I'll get to it as soon as I can.

I keep rooting for Ducky- hoping he will cooperate and straighten out-

Thank you for the compliment on the banner image of Noah. Often wondered if it was too much.

Yes, we plan to be at BlogPaws and you're welcome.

You're welcome- often writing what you think/feel is the best- original and it draws in your reader.

Noah says (gotta distinguish at times you know!) give them a sniff and lick for me too!! Only on alert or hunting stance do my ears stand up.

Happy New Year. Write when you can - we look forward to it.
