Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

Interesting. All I can bark or paw is "interesting."  My friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.. The hearts of "Lab Lady" and the rescue introduce another "odd couple" who must be adopted together- they've bonded, become buddies- a Beagle and a Black Labrador Retriever. Meet Shiloh and Serena!

These two have lived together, in the country with limited city noise, since they were pups so adoption is limited to a single family suburban or rural homes.

Shiloh is the kind older bother. Serena will actually take treats out of his mouth and he will never her- never growling except when they're playing!

Outside, she loves to run around with a ball in her mouth while Shiloh will play tug of war with toys- and of course- he'll chase Serena when she's got the ball.  WOOF!!! Once in awhile, she will let him have it!!  ARF?!? 

When a human tosses a toy, Serena is normally the one who gets it and teases Shiloh until he joins in the play.  

Shiloh and Serena love attention and being petted. Shiloh will tell you if he isn’t getting enough attention by talking to you. WOOF!!! These two love to sit on humans laps giving doggie kisses.

The pair are getting better on leashes, but mostly run and play in the backyard, Serena needs an Easy Walk harness to continue learning but  Shiloh is does well on a lead. 

Serena and Shiloh are house and crate trained.

No information on their experience with cats is noted.  Good with children ages 7 and older.

Serena is a 2 year old spayed black female who is up to date on her shots and is heartworm negative. Her buddy Shiloh is a 4 year old neutered tricolor male beagle, who is up to date on his shots and is heartworm negative. Serena weighs 52 lbs and Shiloh weighs 40 lbs.
