WOOF!!! Barkingly pawsome to be FRIDAY!!!  Happy 4th of July- remember to keep your pets safe- they need extra attention during this holiday!  Check out these links for pawcellent tips for dogs and one written by my cat buddy Cody at cats

I had a pawsome visit with another new friend this week from Operation Paws for Homes.  Am having so much fun meeting new humans who help care for dogs need homes.   She brought a friend with her named Rockwell!

Rockwell is a 4 year old, 65lb, male Coon Hound mix! Hound mixes can make great pets if you have the patience, I should know as my human says that about me all the time!!  WOOF!!!!

Love hound dogs?  Rockwell, with his beautiful bay of the hound, the pendulous ears, droop jowls and long, lean body, is full of love, playfulness and laziness!  WOOF!!!

He has a gentle, curious and kind personality only barking when playing with other dogs or has spotted one of the cats in his foster home and it does not want to play!

My friend Rockwell was a stray in rural Scott County, Virginia and was not claimed by his owners.   His foster mom thinks he may be a "failed" hunting dog and was kept outside- I didn't do so well at it either but I'm now a perfect dog to some great humans- WOOF!  Rockwell- might be the same-

Rockwell loves his crate, he goes in there to nap and hang out whenever the door is left open!

Rockwell has mastered potty training.

Since Rockwell likely an outdoors dog, he was not taught basic commands but he's eager to please, and loves bacon and hot dogs, so pretty easy to train. ARF!

In his foster home, Rockwell lives with 4 big dogs, 2 cats, and 2 children - ages 3 and 5. Rockwell loves the kids being sweet, gentle and calm with them! He does great with the other dogs playing tug, chasing them when outside and laying around the house.
Since Rockwell was likely a hunting dog, it's not recommended he to to a home with cats.  Though, we don't think he'd hurt them, he is awfully preoccupied by finding them.

At 4 years old, a perfect mix dog to become part of your life or your family's life.
