Happy Independence Day!

(C) Allen Pearson

WOOF! Today, we celebrate the 4th of July, Independence Day! I am thankful for all the hard work and labor over the many years to found, form, and develop our country which allows more freedom than many other places in the universe.

Today, and every day, I BARK and WOOF and SALUTE the pawsome people who worked so hard to achieve our pawsome country.  THANK YOU!!

When you celebrate today, pawlease remember a fireworks display is no place to take your dog. Leave him at home with DOGTV playing or a good radio station and pawlenty of the bestest treats you can find and pawlenty of good spring water.  Or better yet, I think you should do like my human does and stay home with your dog, scratch their belly, scratch their ears, pet and give any and all other forms of affection which makes your dog feel so pawsome!

My humans will be staying home with Samson and me during the fireworks. We will probably curl up on the couch and watch some silly TV show until it appears the fireworks are finished. This will be Samson's first 4th of July celebration so Mom will be paying close attention to him to be sure he isn't too scared.

WOOF! Be safe and have a happy 4th of July celebration! BARK! oh, and uh, MEOW!
