Woof! November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. It was created to bring attention to the many pawsome senior pets which need adoption so they can have humans to love and a "Forever Home."
Many humans do not realize how pawsome senior dogs can be. For one, I am a senior dog. Yes, I've slowed down some but not too much. I don't require a lot of exercise and playtime like I did when I was a puppy. I still enjoy playtime but not as long or as energetic! For me, I still enjoy going for as many walks and for as long as I can. I can miss a day or two too! Barks, that's me. There are dogs who just want to relax around the house with their humans.
Barkingly, senior dogs make a great "starter" dog for the family who has never had a dog before. The dog is already trained and often makes a great companion to a family with mini-humans too. The mini-humans get a chance to have a dog and learn how to take care of one and the dog gets all the lovin's! It's a win-win. WOOF! Barks.
My pawsome friend "Lab Lady" of Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc., came by surrounded by several senior Labrador Retrievers looking for humans to love and their "Forever Homes!"
Barkingly, she shared some news about a special adoption event for senior Labrador Retrievers too! Woofs! Here are the details:
