Meet my newest friend Maeve! She just arrived at Operation Paws for Homes and they are learning about her sweet-self! Paws! Is she cute or what?! I just love this photo of her! Barks!
Maeve is pawssibly around 7-years-old and a Boxer mix. She is a pawsomely sweet girl who made her way north to find her "Forever Home!"
Maeve tested pawsitive for Heartworm Disease before arriving at Operation Paws for Homes. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. Operation Paws for Homes will treat her and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Barks, pawlease read more about Heartworm Disease at the American Heartworm Society.
