WOOF! Happy Friday humans! I hope you have had a pawsome week! My human and I have been busy doing some gardening and exploring our universe by going for walks!  WOOF! WOOF! Barks!

My friend the "Great Dane Dame" from the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought by a beautiful 3-1/2-year-old black Great Dane for you to meet! She is looking for humans to love and a "Forever Home!" Meet Sorcha!

Barks, Sorcha is petite, very athletic, smart, and full of affection for her humans! She loves stretching her legs running around a large fenced yard.  At night, she loves curling up on the couch for snuggling staring into your eyes with her beautiful-self and gorgeous brown eyes.

When properly introduced, Sorcha is good with other dogs. She used to live with a Boxer mix, a pet bird, chickens, and turkeys with no problems.

Barkingly, she was raised in a home with young mini-humans and lives them her foster home but she does mouth a lot. She is not recommended, will not be placed in, for a home with very young mini-humans.

Sorcha is learning about house manners in her foster home. She is house- and crate-trained. She tends to whine a little when put in her crate when her humans are going out. Paws, she settles down quickly. She is working on her leash skills with her foster family.

Sorcha is a little afraid of strange noises or unfamiliar face at night. She calms down once she knows everything is fine. She is quickly improving in her foster home.

Barks, WOOF, Sorcha needs a slow introduction to new humans especially those entering the home. New humans make her nervous but she is very sweet and affectionate once she is comfortable and familiar. She is working on getting used to having neighbors and pets living next door! She will definitely alert you to anyone approaching.

Paws, Sorcha doesn't have any food or toy guarding issues or problems being touched anywhere by someone familiar. She listens well to a few commands but must continue her training to blossom into being the bestest-dog-she-can-be! WOOF! A training requirement will be a part of her adoption contract.

Sorcha is motivated by treats, praise, and playtime with her squeaky toys. She takes treats nicely nor does she jump up on humans to get them. Barks, squeaky toys make her happy! She loves chasing a ball to exercise her long legs! Paws, treat challenges like a Kong are fun for her to defeat! WOOF! she doesn't counter-surf but loves to sniff around human food hoping to score an unattended treat.

Beautiful Sorcha is healthy, spayed and up-to-date with her vaccinations and preventatives!  She has an unknown history with cats. She is recommended for mini-humans ages 8 and older. She can't wait to meet her pawsome "Forever Family" who will cuddle, have outdoor playtime, and have patience while training her!

Sorcha found her way to the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League after her human became terminally ill and the family could not take care of her!
