Friday's Friend: Cat Adoption, Washington Humane Society

Happy Valentines Day!!  I have you got my greetings yesterday!!!  WOOF!!! and, er cough! MEOW!!  I sent them out a day early as I didn't want to miss writing about my friends today!

My friends from the Washington Humane Society have introduced me to a great cat for you to meet-  His name is Roberto!

Roberto, a 13 year old, 11 lbs., Domestic Shorthair cat was surrendered by his owner on because the landlord would not allow pets in the home.  Now, Roberto is looking for a new "Forever Home!"

"MEOW! HISS!! HISS!!!!! Who you callin' an old geezer?!," Roberto says with a certain look, "I may be no spring chicken, but I've got more pep in ny step than most of the youngsters here! Wanna bet?!"

Older cats often make great cats as in many cases they've already been trained and used to humans!

Come to the shelter and ask for Roberto! He’s got lots of stories to tell and wishes to share them with a human! (After he has had plenty of play time with string and catnip, of course).
He enjoys having his "me-time" while you are at work or running errands!  He would do best in a quiet and calm home where he'd your one and only feline friend. Are you the pal this sweet old guy’s been waiting for?

Meet Roberto at our Georgia Avenue Adoption Center, 7319 Georgia Avenue, NW, (202) 723-5730, Washington, D.C. or visit the Washington Humane Society.
