Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

"Cashew"

It is the barkingly grand opportunity we have in this life to meet our elders in which we can learn, have fun, and see life as it can be- "Lab Lady" brought by an older pup this week for you to meet-

Cashew!  What a happy face he has!  A 9-year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever, he has decided it's time to settle down and enjoy his golden years.

Older pups are great for older humans or humans who don't necessary want an energetic dog around. They make great companions for those who have a laid back lifestyle- WOOF!!

Cashew is no longer interested in really long walks or hikes up the mountain, but prefers to go on laid strolls to the park or around the block. He is good on a Lead.

He seems to know some of the basic commands, but since he's almost deaf it's hard to tell if he is ignoring his foster human or isn't hearing her!

Cashew is happy to be with a human receiving affection, petting and brushing.

He has no history with children, so he's recommended for ages 10 and older.  Nor does he have any cat history.

Cashew is crate trained and possibly house trained as he keeps his room clean at the kennel.  WOOF!!

Watch this video of Cashew playing, at: Cashew at Play!.

Cashew- is a neutered male and  up to date on vaccines. Like most older pups he has arthritis, he is on Carprofen and Glucosamine supplement to help it.

Want to meet Cashew and learn about dog adoption?  Contact the Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc..  Tell "Lab Lady" Noah said "WOOF!!"
