WOOF! What a handsome fella "Lab Lady" brought by this week for you to meet! Blue is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever around 2-years-old.

Blue is looking for his "Forever Home" in rural or suburban single-family home with a fenced yard where he can play. He is from the suburbs and hasn't been exposed to the noises of traffic or groups of humans!  WOOF!!!

Paws, are you a couch potato looking for a dog to watch movies with? Or, are adopting your first dog? Barks, Blue isn't the dog for you- he needs an active family with a human who has experience with dogs!

Blue, a friendly fella, is very athletic. He loves retrieving, going for walks and runs. He used to get walks in the mornings and walks or runs (3-4 miles) or frisbee/ball fetching in the afternoons. He has enjoyed mornings at a local lake! BARK! Woof! He likes to swim too- especially if fetching is involved! Woof, you should see him leap to catch airborne objects with surprising body control.

Blue tends to bark at new arrivals like the UPS guy or visiting knocking at the door! He warms up once the visitor greets him.

Inside the home? Blue is what makes us Labrador Retrievers so pawfectly pawsome, he likes tummy rubs, laying by the fire and enjoying his bone on his dog bed! WOOF!

Blue knows some basic commands, "sit," "stay," "pad" (same as "place" command), "paw," and "down." He is working on "heal."  Blue is learning to walk better on a leash!

Blue is house and crate trained. He likes to sleep in his crate.

Blue has socialized with other dogs. He has lived with a Pug and was good with him. He has no experience with cats. He is recommended for mini-humans age 10 and older.

Blue is looking for a "Forever Home" and humans to love as his prior humans did not have time to give him the exercise and time he deserves!

He is up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives.  Watch Blue Blue Playing Ball!

If you would like to apply to meet or adopt Blue, please complete the Lab Rescue Dog Adoption Applicationcall the Lab Line: (301) 299-6756 or email info@lab-rescue.org. Tell them Noah sent you!
