WOOF! WOOF! Happy Friday! Dad used to say when he worked in an office, he would look forward to today. The Friday of the week after Thanksgiving because the week was always long since last week was only a 3-day workweek. Then, he would spend the weekend preparing for Christmas. Do you have my present yet?
My friend the "Great Dane Dame" from the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League has been pawfully busy with her volunteers taking care of Great Dane dogs left in their rescue. This week, they brought by Blu for you to meet. Paws, she is looking for her "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love her too! Woofs.
Blu is a 3-1/2-year-old Merle Great Dane. She is doing well in her foster home settling in to a household routine and is less anxious when her foster mom heads out to work.
Blu's leash skills have improved quite well as have her responses to commands. She is making improvements every pawsome day! Barkingly, she enjoys learning new things, pawlaying fetch, snuggling with her human, and chewing a massive Nylabone before bedtime.
Blu is a human pleaser though when meeting someone new for the first time, she will be hesitant. She likes time to sniff visitors and warm up first. Then, paws, you'll get kisses and lots of lovin's. Barks!
Woofs, Blu does not like fast movements, mini-humans make her nervous, nor hearing angry/loud voices.
Blu isn't a complete velcro-Dane! She enjoys being with her humans and snoozing within earshot as long as she gets her daily quota of snuggles and leans!
Barkingly, Miss Blu is good with mini-humans, dogs, but is unknown with cats. She has lived with other large dogs.
