Friday's Friend: Cat Adoption, Washington Humane Society

Happy 4th of July!  A day of celebration for humans!  We dogs, tend to not enjoy the noise and strange lights so much!  Keep a close eye on your buddy today- and your neighbors too!

My friends at the Washington Humane Society introduced me to a very special cat this week that I would like you to meet- Logas!

A beautiful and friendly special cat with a loving personality who is looking for a human and a "Forever Home" where she can share her love!  Lagos is a one-year-old, 8 lb., domestic, longhair, tuxedo cat.
Lagos has the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).  Don't worry though, barkingly, it isn't contagious to humans and dogs!!  FeLV weakens the immune system, so Lagos is more susceptible to infections than the average cat, and to be safe, she should get check-ups every 6 months. She will need a home that understands her condition, either as an only cat or in a household with other FeLV positive cats. This gorgeous girl is just waiting for you to come and fall in love with her!

If you would like to meet Largos and learn about cat adoption, you can by visiting her at the Washington Humane Society's New York Avenue Adoption Center, 1201 New York Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20002, (202) 576-6664 or by visiting Washington Humane Society
