Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League

My friend the "Great Dane Dame" is quite the character.  Seems she has several Great Danes ready for "Forever Homes" so she's been walking around trying to walk these incredible dogs.  First time I have ever seen a human being walked by several large dogs without their feet touching the ground- they are such gentle guys that she wasn't hurt or even stressed.

This week, "Great Dane Dame" brought by a pawsome gal for you to meet - Bella!

Bella is a 1 1/2 year old Black Great Dane- pawsomely beautiful in my eyes- she is a petite girl who weighs around 90 lbs.  Barkingly, her pawsome personality makes up for the lack of size.   Her tail is always wagging and she was such a pawleasure to meet!

Bella loves spending time with her 6=year-old foster Dane brother and has been pawsome when meeting smaller dogs!

Bella is house trained. will sleep in her crate and knows a few basic commands but is learning more as the days go on- WOOF!!

When Bella is left alone, she tends to bark a fair amount but her foster mom is working on this.  She is a talker so she would not be a good fit for an apartment.

Sweet Bella greets every human with a pawsome smile and a wagging tail -that never seems to stop!  She wants to be next to another dog or a human - she's a true Velcro Dane!

Bella has greeted every person with a smile and wagging tail. She loves car rides -- just wants to be next to another dog or a person, a true Velcro Dane!

Bella is looking for a human who will help her reach her full pawsome self so she will have a training requirement for the adopter.

She gets along with cats, and is recommended for mini-humans ages 8 and older.

If you would like to meet Bella and learn more about dog adoption, please visit the Mid-Atlantic Great Danes Rescue League, call (703) 644-8009, a hotline where you can leave a message or email coordinators@va-magdrl.org.
