WOOF!! Last week, my human and I had a blast driving to Fredericksburg, VA to meet and photograph a pawsome Great Dane for the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League and his foster mom! We had so much fun running around the dog park and playing with toys!  Such a pawsomely cool dog!

Deuce, a handsome youthful fella, is 6-years-old going on 2!!  BARKS! He has lots of energy and loves to play with other dogs at his favorite dog park! His foster mom is constantly entertained by his funny quirks from carrying a stuff animal outside to do his "business" to putting her to bed every night.  A favorite game of his is "laser light" and will continue playing it until you can no longer hold up your arm!

An incredibly smart guy, Deuce learns commands pawsomely easily.

Enjoy going for walks?  Deuce will sit to have his leash put on before leaving for doggie daycare.  He walks pawsomely well on a gentle leader. He has gone to pet stores, busy downtown areas and on trail hikes with no problems. BARKS!  He doesn't bark at other dogs in public and will wait patiently while his human brags about his pawsomeness!!

Deuce can be a little slow to warm up to strangers but once he does, be prepared to play and give lots of affection!  WOOF!!! Deuce gets along well with other dogs and wouldn't mind having a playmate.

Do you have an ice maker in your refrigerator- it's a possible "Deuce" requirement as he will do almost anything to get "ICE CUBES" which is how his foster mom taught him new tricks!

Deuce is a home protector too! He will alert you to anyone at the door or outside which is an excellent trait to have for someone living along and families too. Barkingly, if you have many guests, some training to curb barking will be necessary.

Deuce's foster mom’s favorite part of the day is when they go to bed and cuddle. Deuce “asks” for petting and will actually move her arm so that she can pet him. She says "he has the cutest animated ears ever."

Due to his high energy level, Deuce will be best in a house with older mini-humans or adults. He gets along with cats too!
