Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Operation Paws for Homes

"Korra"
(C) Operation Paws for Homes
My friend "Miss Ashley" from Operation Paws for Homes brought by a true sweetheart of a girl named "Korra!" She is looking for humans to love and a "Forever Home!" She is a gentle girl looking for humans to cuddle with!

Korra, an Australian Shepherd, is learning to love the pawsomeness of being an indoor dog and getting used to spending time in a crate when needed. She is house trained too.  She hasn't met any cats or mini-humans yet but has done well with other dogs.

A note from Operation Paws for Homes:  Korra tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving at the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. Operation Paws for Homes will treat the dog and provide two weeks’ recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from Operation Paws for Home’s Heartworm Coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: The Heartworm Society, Pet Owner Resources, Heartworm-Basics.
