Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Operation Paws for Homes

I visited my friends at the Operation Paws for Homes Rescue this week and got to meet a beautiful young lady named "Evangeline."

"Evangeline"
(C) Operation Paws for Homes
A sweet, well behaved 1-2 yr. old hound mix girl who weighs about 50 lbs., Evangeline is a favorite at the doggie daycare where she lives right now!   The staff cannot understand why she hasn't been adopted.

Evangeline is described as "super affectionate" and "very playful." She is past all of the tough parts of the puppy stage like potty-training and crate-training, but still young and silly and always ready for anything!

She loves people and other dogs, and will approach everyone gently and sweetly!  She will come up to you for a pet and cuddle and wait to see how other dogs want to interact with her - she has the best manners.

A calm dog which is great, but she still loves to play and get attention. She is happy socializing, or curling up on a cot - she will make a great couch buddy, but be ready to hop up and take a walk at a moment's notice!

Evangeline is a little shy at first, but warms up fairly quickly. She is very well behaved car rider - she will try to get close to you and give you kisses! She is learning to walk well on a leash and does well in a crate, where she sleeps every night.

This dog is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, altered, and ready to go home!
