WOOF! BARKS! Happy Friday! My friend the "Great Dane Dame" of the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League stopped by this week with a pawsome friend to meet you! Meet Chimaeralm or as affectionately know, Shy!

Shy is a 13-month-old Black Great Dane with natural ears! Woof! She is a "pocket" Dane! WOOF! Though she is still a puppy and growing, she will not get much larger than she already is. Shy isn't tall enough to counter-surf. Barkingly, she has puppy curiosity about the kitchen!

Shy has pawsome house manners, Barkingly, her adopter will need patience as she settles into her new home!  She is crate-trained too. Woof! She shouldn't be trusted to roam free in the house without human supervision. After all, she will get into stuff as puppies often do!

Shy is a Velcro Dane who pawsitively loves to be around her humans. If you will allow her, she will lay at your feet and cuddle with you all day! Barkingly, she's cautious when meeting new humans. She will do a quick nervous bark and go to hide behind or human or run to a corner. Paws, once she understands this new "thing" will not harm her, she will lose control of her "licker!" WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

Shy loves playing with her foster brothers, a Great Dane and Boxer, and her sister, a Great Dane! She likes to play rough but isn't as rough as she sounds! There isn't any aggression!  She needs to learn to be a puppy and needs a confident dog to show her how to be the best dog she can be! She will do best in a home with a confident dog and humans who are home more than they are away!

Due to Shy's fear of new people and small places, she would not be a good candidate for apartment of condo living! She needs a fenced yard and pawlenty of exercise!

Shy has no known history with cats. She is good with larger dogs and mini-humans ages 5 and older.

Barkingly, if you would like to learn more about dog adoption, the procedure and process of adopting a Great Dane, pawlease visit Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Adoption Procedures.
