Barks! Barks! I pawsomely glad to be back writing about my woofing pawsome friends who need "Forever Homes!" with humans to love who will love them too! Woofs, I would love to be able to discontinue this column because every dog and cat found their "Forever Homes!" Paws, but we still have friends, like Deac, who are still waiting for humans to find out how awesome they are and adopt!

My pawsome friend the "Great Dane Dame" of the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought by a handsome older fella who has the energy of a young guy named Deac for you to meet! He is looking for his "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too!

Deac is around 6-years-old but don't let that make you think he is an "old guy" because you would never be able to tell- with his pawsome energy. He definitely doesn't let age slow him down.

Barkingly, Deac is very gentle with every human he's met, paws whether it's an infant or an elderly human! Barks! When he's being introduced to another dog, he needs a very slow introduction! He comes across as an aggressive fella, but with the slow introduction, he will warm up to them. Paws, he needs to meet one dog at a time, not several, so he can focus on the one dog! Bark, it's unknown whether he can be around cats or not.

When going for walks, Deac gets excited and pulls on the leash! Barsk, once he gets over his initial excitement, he does really well! Barkingly, as I pawed before, he does get very excited and a bit aggressive when he sees another dog on a walk. He will lunge towards the other dog while barking. His human will have to pull him away out of the sight of the other dog. He is very treat motivated and is working on his behavior on walks! In time, he will get over it!

Deau is a pawsomely amazing and loving fella. Young at heart and wants his humans to love him!

Barks, to learn more about Deau, adopting a Great Dane, and to apply to pawssibly adopt Deac, pawlease visit the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League Adoption Guide.
