WOOF! Woof! Happy Friday! My friend the "Great Dane Dame" of the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought a handsome and quite interesting character for you to meet this week, Frank! He is looking for a "Forever Home!" with humans to love who will love him too.

In barking with Frank, I've learned he is the Two Dimensional Hound and around 3 1/2-years-old. He's a what? WOOF! Don't worry, it's not because of his personality, it's just he's complex! I'll let him put it his own way, "My looks are deceiving. I may LOOK like a tall, handsome fawn Great Dane, but I am, in fact, basically a cat crossed with an anxious blonde. Don’t let that turn you off...I am quite entertaining, and I do love my people. Don’t feel bad for my svelte frame, either - I choose this. A fella’s gotta watch his figure, woofs! I don’t want to be chunky, so I make sure I skip a few meals to keep this lean figure!" Woof, I get it, I think.

Barkingly, Frank doesn't care to interact with most other dogs. He would be comfortable with cats in the home since he thinks he's one and behaves like one and even acts like one, but NO dogs! Paws, he might consent to an alpha female dog. He loves cats! He loves to rub on you back and forth then suddenly turn away so you can't pet him- like a cat!

WOOF! Frank doesn't like water either. Even drinking it offends him. He doesn't even like walking on dewy grass or going out in the rain to do his business. He is super-sensitive about pretty much everything!

Frank is looking for a home with very strong dog-savvy humans who will not allow him to push them around. No first-time dog owners for him!

WOOFs! Frank's exercise needs are low. He loves to run but he isn't a dog who will drive you crazy bouncing off the walls. Frank will benefit greatly from formal training. It will help him to be happier!

Barkingly, Frank takes a little time to warm up to men. Paws, he always comes around shortly if they are polite and gentle.

Paws, Frank is pawsomely sweet and loving. He is endlessly amusing with his antics.

He will really appreciate a quiet home without lots of activity though he can be gracious with visitors.
