Friday's Friend- Part 1- A Dog!

I've got two friends to introduce you to this week.  My buddy Alex has sent me a pic and info. about one of us dog friends looking for a Forever Home and the Cat Lady has sent me stuff too.

"Spike"
I am so excited to introduce to you Spike!!  He reminds me so much of a buddy I made while traveling to PetConnect Rescue a few years ago- a great guy, I'll tell ya!

Spike is a Male Pit Bull/Lab Mix, about 42 Pounds and is approximately 3 Years 2 Months old. And, he's house trained, polite, extremely outgoing, happy, people centered, loves to play, willing to work and is treat motivated which would make it easy to train him. Hey, I'd do most anything for some of those treats my humans has!!

My buddy Alex says, "every time I take Spike outside I am amazed at how well behaved he is. He most certainly was someone's dog at one point before coming into the shelter as a stray. He is well mannered, smart, and knows several basic commands. He appears to be in good health, well taken care of, and is such a happy boy. His tail is constantly wagging and he always looks like he has a smile. At the still young age of 3 years old Spike certainly is more laid back then some of the younger dogs at the shelter. He definitely loves to be around people. He loves to be petted on his ears, mouth, tail, or anywhere on his body. He takes treats and toys gently from your hands. He allows toys to be taken easily. I took a couple dozen pictures of him and everyone of them he has the same goofy smile. He is definitely a happy boy! Spike is an all around great dog."
