SO COOL!!! WOOF!!!! I have always wanted to meet a Rottweiler, or Rotty as some like to say!! These dogs are often gentle giants! Thanks to Washington Humane Society's rescue work, I got to meet a Rottweiler AND get to paw him to you!

Meet Billy!  He is an eight-year-old, 74 lb., Rottweiler mix.  He is a laid-back lazy couch dog who is looking for his new best friend and "Forever Home."

Billy has the curiosity of a little pup.  He's polite on a leash and loves to be pet.  He paws to play and stay busy with any toys and games you can share with him!  WOOF!

Billy is heartworm positive, but it's really nothing to worry about- once he's adopted and found a home, the Washington Humane Society will pay for his treatment. After that, he'll be on the heartguard each month just like any other dog to prevent it from happening again.

Interested in meeting Billy and learning about dog adoption? You can meet him at the Washington Humane Society's New York Avenue Adoption Center! It's located at 1201 New York Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20002, (202) 576-6664 or visit Washington Humane Society.
