Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Operation Paws for Homes

"Hilda"
(C) Operation Paws for Homes

When I saw this face, I wanted to bark as loud as I could to say "ADOPT! ADOPT! ADOPT!! A sweetheart of a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix, she is looking for her "Forever Home!"

Are you looking for a dog that is out of that pawsomely silly puppy stage but young and full of life? That would be Hilda!

Hilda is always ready for a walk and does well on a leash. She is crate and house trained and food motivated! She likes playing with stuffed toys too!

Hilda is good with cats and has been good with other dogs after a proper introduction.

Hilda has been tested positive for heartworm disease before she arrived at Operation Paws for Homes. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. Operation Paws for Homes will treat the dog and provide two weeks’ recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from Operation Paws for Homes' Heartworm Coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Please read about heartworm disease here: Heartworm Society, Pet Owner Resources!

If you would like to apply to adopt this pawsome girl, please complete the Operation Paws for Homes Dog Adoption Application!
