Friday's Friend! Senior Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

WOOF! BARK!! Here lately, more than a few times, my humans, the Veterinarian and someone else referred to me as a "senior" dog or that my food is a "senior" diet! Not sure I like these comments.... though I haven't growled or barked when I hear the word "senior" I wonder why they call me that!  I mean, I still get along fine, I still run fine, I still like to play fetch, I still take my human for long walks, I still like going for car rides, I still play with my squeaky toys, so why call me "senior?"  WOOF!!

My human must have caught my slight quandary of curiosity about the word so he says to me, "Basically Noah, it's about age- everyone ages and you reach a part of life where life where it signifies that- some have health issues as they age but not all... just depends on the person, or, er, dog!

Learning that sent me back out to chase a squirrel and a rabbit or two-

My friend "Lab Lady" from Lab Rescue brought by several of her canine senior friends for you to meet!  She was so excited to introduce them to me, I am going to let her share with you too-

Black Labrador Retriever
"Dixie"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

"Meet Dixie!! She's a 12-year-old Black Labrador Retriever!  She is approved for mini-humans age 7 or older.  She is good with other dogs and cats.

A gentle and sweet girl, Dixie's life was turned upside down by the death of her human.  So now, she's looking for a "Forever Home" with humans for her to love!

Dixie will stay close and soak up all the attention she can possibly get while offering a wagging tail and lots of kisses!

The ideal home for Dixie will have few stairs and offer a calm environment and humans who will lavish her with love and attention!"

Black Labrador Retriever
"Tyson"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

"Noah, Tyson is a 9-year old Black Labrador Retriever who is good with other dogs! He loves attention from his humans, loves retrieving, swimming and going for walks!

Tyson has impeccably pawfect house manners and doesn't need to be crated. He sleeps through the night and takes treats gently.

Tyson's is looking for a "Forever Home" with adults-only household, as mini-humans make him uncomfortable!"

"Dottie"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

"Noah, this is Dottie!" BARK!! BARK! WOOF! She's got a most beautiful face Lab Lady! "Yes, she does Noah!  Dottie is a 10-year-old Black Labrador Retriever who is good with other dogs and cats.  She is approved for mini-humans 10 years old and older! She must go to a home with another dog!

Dottie's foster reports she is wonderful to foster. She is housetrained, enjoys walks, and walks well on leash.

She is super friendly, has a calm demeanor, and is very easy going. She loves to get scratches, especially on her belly!"

"Daisy"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

"Noah, Meet Daisy!  She is an 11-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever.  She is good with other dogs but prefers to be her human's one and only- dog that is! BARKS! Or, with another submissive dog!

Daisy is good with cats and is approved for mini-humans age 10 and older!

Daisy should not be crated and must go to a home with a fenced in yard! She wants a family who is not gone for long periods as she loves company!

Daisy sleeps on a dog bed in her foster's bedroom. She has great manners and likes to follow her humans around to see what they're doing.  She would be a great gardening partner for someone looking for a companion. She is a sweetheart!"

Black Labrador Retriever
"Bama"
(C) Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.
"And, last but not least, meet Bama is a sweet 12-year-old Black Labrador Retriever whose is good with other dogs and approved for mini-humans ages 10 and older!

Bama is house trained and crate trained. He loves going for walks and does wonderful on the leash. Bama has met a few doggy friends in the neighborhood and gets along well with the resident dog! He loves everyone he meets and is just such a sweet and pleasant pup to be around!"

These and other senior Labrador Retrievers are looking for humans to love and a "Forever Home!"
