Super Pet Expo, March 15-17, 2013, Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly, VA

Pet Expo is COMING!!!

I can’t believe it!! It’s time once again for the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA, NEXT weekend, Friday through Sunday, March 15-17, 2013!!! The coolest thing is you can take your leashed, no-flexi leashes please, well-behaved, vaccinated dogs with you along with your children or any other friend. It’s a great time of family fun, games, meeting pet-related businesses, and many other professionals in the pet industry.

I can’t wait to go! Last year was great!!! I tried my best to be on my best manners but it was hard since there was so much to do and see! I was so excited to be in a new and different place with all the smells and excitement with my two humans that I was barkingly happy!!

My humans bought our tickets, registered for a giveaway and we were on our way!! Then, we walked down the aisles looking at the various booths. One stop was at Doggy Baggage created by Debra Johnson. My humans bought one of the larger Doggy Baggage pieces and which they use when I travel with them on vacation. You can read the review here. My humans love it because it gives them an easy way to carry some of my stuff. We used it on vacation last summer and will be this coming summer. Anyway, we bought a bag to carry important papers which allows Dad to keep my paperwork handy and accessible! Or, just to keep in the case for emergencies. And, I have to say my humans and I enjoyed chatting with Mrs. Debra Johnson who is really nice.

As we strolled on, Dad came across a business that was perfect for him, and probably me too! He bought a few mugs and T-shirts with cool sayings on it like “Life is short, play with your dog” –that is so true. And, “I Love Dogs- it’s Humans Who Annoy Me!” I chuckled.

Another really cool part of the day was visiting the different businesses (or barkeries!) who sold treats and food. I got to taste several samples. All of them were barkingly delicious!!  I visited so many of these, I can't remember all of there names.

Believe it or not, and I can’t believe that I am going to say this, my friend Dakota will wonder about me now, but I met several friendly veterinarians too. Some of the vets and vet techs I got to meet were from the ClockTower Animal HospitalBlueRidge Veterinary and Blood Bank, and Caring Hands Animal Hospital. These were not the only ones that will be there, I just got met them!

I will be very excited to meet the volunteers and dogs looking for “Forever Homes” with Operation Paws for Homes. My human photographs for them and he always comes home smelling like a 10 different dogs so I have to tackle him to stake my claim. But, he is always saying how great the people are and the fantastic job they do at assisting dogs to find homes.

This year, there are a few events that I want to see and, again, I can hardly wait- I think the Black Labrador Retriever in me is starting to show. I am anxious to visit the Dog Agility Classes where I might learn a few obedience skills from Kathy Benner of The Animals' House. My human will be so surprised!! I've heard from my dog friends that she’s great.

Then, I’m heading over to the Dock Diving: Fueled by EVO, where I’ll get to watch four-legged performed soar through the air into a 30,000 gallon swimming pool- that’ll be exciting to see- the abilities of these critters are amazing.

I wish you could go too- would be great to meet you along with Dakota. My cat brother was going to go once, but it was too noisy for him. Noah
