Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Operation Paws for Homes

Happy Friday!!  WOOF!!!!  My friends at Operation Paws for Homes have brought a special dog for you to meet, Potcake Lizzi!

What's a Pancake?  Er, uh, Potcake? According to detail I received from Operation Paws for Homes, a Potcake is a mixed-breed dog type from the Turks and Caicos Islands! Yes - an island pup! Many of these dogs face a hard life of scrambling to find food and wondering the streets. When visiting the island - you would see these dogs were everywhere. Adorable mixes of Shepherd, Hound, Dingo, Lab and various other breeds from the UK. Fortunate for some of the dogs on the islands, there is a wonderful organization at the TCSPCA who works with rescue organizations to change the fate of these dogs and send them to the states to find homes.

Now, meet Lizzie, 5 months old, perfect 35lbs, island girl is from the beautiful tropical Turks and Caicos. She is a dear little pup who is just looking for a family to love her forever!

Lizzie is great with kids, dogs and cats - can it possibly be better? She adjusts well to new situations and warms up quickly to new people, is a great playmate for dogs of all sizes - dog tested and approved, is cat tested- curious and snuggles with the ones in her foster home.  She is super affectionate, human focused and has a great relationship with her foster.  She is eager to please and loves training.

A medium energy dog, Lizzie loves running and playing, does well walking on a leash and is great in her crate!

Lizzie is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and altered.
