Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Operation Paws for Homes

WOOF!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  This week has been unusual, several of the dogs I've met, have been quiet and shy until they get to know you a bit, then its pawsome-  Kobe is no exception!

She was brought by to meet you by my friends at Operation Paws for Homes!
Meet Kobe!

"Kobe"
(C) Operation Paws for Homes
At 55 lbs., Kobe is a 1.5 year old, female, Shepherd Mix. Once she gets to know you, her true pawsome self, shine through, loyal, loving, snugly, feisty, frisky, and loves a good rump-scratch.

Kobe has pawsome house manners.  She isn't much for needless barking and will takes treats from your hand like a complete lady.

Although she love to eat, she is barkingly pawlite around human food and isn't a trash-digger, counter-surfer or beggar.  She may be curious about human food, but generally respects the boundaries you calmly set.

Kobe is a great dog for a relaxed-yet-engaging household. She would like someone with a reliable routine who would have time to throw a few balls, maybe teach her some agility, some physical and mental activities.

Along with all that, she loves to chill out on the couch with you for a movie night while you give her the occasional tummy rub.

She would love to have a "Forever Home" with another confident dog, as she gains self-confidence around them and will a great playmate for just about any dog!

Change and new people makes Kobe nervously retreat to safety, so the right human will be patient, has time to slowly introduce her, and can show her you have her back when she is around people she doesn't know.

During Kobe's first year of puppyhood, she lived a home with toddlers who frequently and lovingly hovered over her but didn't understand her shepherd-like desire for space. As she has a need for space, Clara probably isn't going to want to go to friends' cookouts or beach parties with you. And she's best in a home free of children under the age of 16.

Kobe is up to date on all shots and spayed.
