Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, PetConnect Rescue

WOOF!! WOOF!! WOOF!! What a great surprise!  A visit from my friend Big Bruno!  Big Bruno is a foster parent with PetConnect Rescue of Potomac, MD.  Every time I catch up with him, he is busy taking care of a pup dog that needs special attention. And, he is great with dogs!  WOOF!

Big Bruno brought me one of his buddies to introduce to you- meet Nora!

My friend Big Bruno wrote a bit about Nora that I want to share with you- I doubt I could say it any better: "What is a resilient dog? A resilient dog is a dog who lived over 9 years outdoors on a chain, got infected with Heartworm, and has a recurring cherry eye, but through it all, is the sweetest, human loving dog anyone could want to meet. Nora is that resilient dog and she is hoping for a

change of luck. Nora would like to finally become the beloved member of the family that she deserves to be. Nora holds no grudges, she appreciates a warm, fluffy bed, regular meals and an endless pile of dog toys."

Big Bruno goes on to say, "In return, Nora will teach what it is to forgive and forget the things outside of our control and move forward toward the positive! She may be about 10 years old, but she is living life like a young puppy."

"Nora is so perfectly behaved in the house, respects other dogs and cats, and is house trained already. Nora is about 20lbs and possibly a terrier type mix. Nora has been treated for Heartworm and when her waiting period is over, she may be able to have a minor surgery to fix her (off and on) cherry eye. Nora would love to live out her years snoring on her dog bed and just finally be part of a family. If you have ever dreamed of being that special angel who adopts a senior(ish) dog and spoils them rotten- pick Nora. She is so deserving of that kind of unconditional love."

"Please don’t let her cherry eye deter you, it is more cosmetic than anything else. Pick Nora for her sweetness and gratitude. Pick Nora for her loyalty and affection. Be that special angel she has been waiting for her whole life."

I couldn't have written or said it better-  Nora is a sweet girl and is ready to find some loving humans to spend life with!
