Friday's Friend! Dog Adoption, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League

Yesterday, I was leaving the Veterinarians office when I noticed this pawsomely huge dog. I looked at him, he looked at me, an amazing dog to meet!

So, this week, when my friends at Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought a friend by for me to meet, I thought it was Deja Vu- hmmmmm like I'd just seen him- woofs!

Meet my friend Deuce!

Deuce is a 6-year-old, Black male Great Dane.

Deuce is staying at a local kennel while looking for a new foster home, or better yet, a "Forever Home!"

Deuce is adjusting to his new routine quite well and is enjoying playing with the other dogs.  Since coming back to the kennel, his human friend has noticed an improvement in his social skills.  He is now more comfortable meeting humans!  While it is still on his timetable, he has improved pawsomely!

Deuce loves and takes great comfort in his stuffed animals- they are his most prized possession!

Deuce does suffer from anxiety and will bark when going back into his crate and left alone.  For this reason, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League doesn't think he'd be a good fit for apartment living!  A single-family home with a yard to play is what he needs and wants!  WOOFs!

Mr. Deuce is very routine oriented, he loves his schedule, and will do best in a quiet home where a human is home a lot and likes to follow a routine.

The right situation and human will rally make Deuce thrive and make a pawsome companion!  WOOFs!!!
