Super Pet Expo, Chantilly, Virginia

My human and I had a great time at the Super Pet Expo, Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly, VA on Saturday afternoon, March 16! Or, at least I did.

I got carried away when we got into the building! So many smells, so many things to look at and so many treats to taste! I could barely stand it so I took off in the direction of the best scents and the prettiest babes, er, dogs, and began our visit. There was so much to see!!! Treats! Toys! Leashes! Treats! Dog Car Seats!

The first thing that got my attention was the rescue groups there showing information about dogs and cats that need “Forever Homes.” I felt sorry for the animals as I know what it’s like to be spoiled by human parents. There were a few breed specific groups too, like the German Shepherd Rescue of Virginia. My grandpa needs to go visit them!

My Aunt Tammy and Cousin Coal made it to the show. For Coal, this was a great event! It allowed Aunt Tammy to see various products for him all in the same place. She compared food dishes, treats, leashes, harnesses, and food and water feeding stands. Coal ended up getting a bunch of stuff!

As for me? Dad said we already had everything we needed for me.  He mostly wanted to walk around and look at the stuff and take some photographs. So, we enjoyed walking around and seeing all the stuff!!

At one booth, unfortunately I don't remember the name, I came upon a wagon, I thought I had struck it rich, I was in heaven, it was incredible, I couldn't believe it!!! I had to get a closer look!! YUM!!!!!!!

Among the many great treats I got to taste, we caught up with our friends from last year, Wild Meadow Farms.  A family-owned business in Lancaster, PA, they have really delicious treats.  Last year, they offered beef but this year, they had more variety and Dad bought me a few treats for later. I think he bought me Bison and Duck treats.  Never had Bison before but I love duck!  RUFF!!!!!!

There were several veterinary clinics and hospitals there.  I was beginning to think it was a trick by my human to get me to the vet!  We stopped and visited Pender Veterinary Centre since it's close to home.

And, I caught up with my friend Debra Johnson, who never looked so good, from Doggy Baggage again. It was great to see her. She makes these really cool bags for travel and to keep stuff in for emergencies.  Check out her website for products and information on how to use them.

We stopped by the Only Maine Coons Rescue group.  My brother, who passed away last Christmas, was a Maine Coon cat. We had a great chat with a lady about possibly finding mom another cat since she's the cat person in our family. And Dad, he likes Maine Coon cats as he's not quite as afraid of them.  RUFF!!!!!

We ended our day by walking back to visit a few vendors we didn't stop at the first time.  It was quite a large show and we had limited time so we went around first to see everything then back around.  We stopped at the Pet Diners Plus and looked around a few minutes at their wooden dog dish holders.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the show that I was hoping to see, but my Aunt Tammy said the Dog Agility show was great and fascinating. The frisbee throw kept her attention!!

If you didn't make it to the show this year, I hope you will check it out next year.  If you have a dog or cat- it's a great place to find important items for them as well as comparison shop!
