Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Lab Rescue of L.R.C.P., Inc.

Every week, I love meeting the dogs and cats that my hard working friends at local animal rescues share with me so I can introduce to you!  My effort is to share stuff about them to help find a "Forever Home" for each one!  I have a barkingly great time doing this-

This week, my friend at the Lab Rescue brought two dogs by for you to meet!  Marley and Peanut!

Marley and Peanut are 2 year-old Labrador Retrievers, Black and Yellow! These two characters were litter mates and have always been together! A bonded pair of buddies that will need to be adopted together!

These two play together all the time-zooming around the house just like brother and sister fighting over the toy the other one has!! All playful though. Walking should be done on an Easy Harness as Marley is very strong, and they both get super excited.

Marley and Peanut know basic commands and are house trained- they have never been crated but if they needed to be left, it would be in a gated room!

Marley and Peanut need a fenced in yard to play- NO ELECTRIC FENCES! They enjoy a dog park, while Marley goes in and plays, Peanut tends to be shy and check things out first- Marley will come back and check on his sister making sure she is alright.

Although it may take a few days for these two to adjust to their new surroundings, they will make the change well. Peanut takes awhile to warm up to men and children need to be calm when coming to meet them as too much noise or jumping around will make her run.

Peanut loves to cuddles and will spend the evening on the couch next to her human while Marley likes to spend time on the floor with his toys. Barkingly well, when Marley wants to be next to you, he has no qualms with sitting right on top of Peanut! She doesn't seem to mind much, just adjusts to get comfortable and is good to go!

They are good with other dogs and children but have not lived with any, so they're approved for kids 10 and up. No cat experience other than a stray which can into the foster’s yard, but they never expressed any interest in the cat.

They're current on their vaccines and will need a Lepto booster between 2/7 and 2/14. Marley weighs 64 pounds and Peanut weighs 50 pounds.
