Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League

I thoroughly enjoy meeting Great Danes- though I wish they had "Forever Homes" and I didn't have to share them with you- barkingly, since I do, they are fun dogs to play with.  

My friends at the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League brought by a great dog for you to meet, please meet Stassi!

Miss "Stassi" is a 1 year-old, all Dane- all the funny and pawnderful Dane qualities: a paw on your arm when you're talking to her, an ability to find the most comfortable spot in the room to lay down and a love of humans- she's just in a little package!  WOOF!!!

Stassi wants to be with her human and will often move so she can be sitting right next to you!  WOOF!!! She loves listening to her human and will perk her ears while trying to get in your lap! BARK.

A very smart girl, she has learned and mastered the "sit" command in just a few minutes and is on her way to learning "down" and "come."

Calm on the leash and in the house, Stassi is curious about everything that is going on especially if there is food involved!  WOOF!! BARK!!  She is not a destructive girl or a chewer nor does she bark much.

Stassi has been known to climb or jump six foot fences in the past, but she seems to have settled, not wanting to escape, now that she has a couch to lay on, treats and a human to love.  She has handled going from kennel to foster care pawsingly well.  WOOF!

She is a lovely dog and just wants a forever person of her own!

Stassi is great with other dogs and children ages 8 years old and over.  She has had limited experience with cats.  She will come with an obedience training requirement as part of her adoption so she can continue to learn and become the great dog she can.
