Fostering A Cat!

"Consider Fostering!"

MEOW!! WOOF!! purr!  My friends at PetConnect Rescue contacted me this week about sharing their need to find fosters to assist with the cats, or kittens, which need humans to love and "Forever Homes!"

My friend, "Miss Cathy" shares, "Cats typically require a commitment of four months or less. They will receive veterinary attention prior to being delivered into foster care. PetConnect Rescue will provide any supplies that a foster family might need while they are caring for a rescue pet as well as cover any veterinary expenses that might arise. Cats are often overlooked, which is why it takes a bit longer to find homes for them. But patience always pays off and all our rescue kitties end up in loving and forever homes. Animal lovers who have busy lives and may not be home a lot can really make a difference when they take a cat into their home. Cats really require relatively little care. If you can give a deserving kitty a warm safe place to sleep and healthy meal, he or she will be so very grateful."

Foster Application Process
"Miss Cathy" continues, "Fostering a pet is essentially saving a life. Without foster homes we could not help the many wonderful dogs and cats who come to our attention. Please consider opening your heart and your home to an animal in need.

We take the new foster application process just as seriously as we do our

adoptions. We carefully screen each applicant, using much the same criteria used to screen potential adopters. That means we will visit your home to help you to prepare, speak with your vet, and get to know you and your current family so that we can match you with the best possible foster dog or cat. We will go over the responsibilities of foster parenting, review with you the case history of the dog or cat that you will be taking in, and answer any questions you may have."

Step 1: Fill out the either the cat or dog foster application. It would be helpful if you could include the name of the animal(s) who you would like to foster or the Adoption Coordinator(s) with whom you would like to work on the application. Click on the appropriate link below.

Step 2: Once the completed application is sent to us, any immediate questions can be answered by our volunteer, Marybeth, at

Step 3: Have a phone screening with one of our current volunteers.
