PetConnect Rescue is Helping Texas "Clear the Shelters"

With the many videos, news stories, and photos illustrating the vast destruction created by Hurricane Harvey, many humans have been asking my friends at PetConnect Rescue, "What can I do to help?"

PetConnect Rescue, having been founded by Lizette Chanock during the tremendous need after Hurricane Katrina, is asking itself the same question. My friends at PetConnect Rescue are committed to helping animals in crisis.

Now, 12 years later, PetConnect Rescue is facing another challenge, the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Texas shelters need help making room for displaced animals who have been separated from their families. BARKS! This means, clearing out the current dogs and cats in them by organizations like PetConnect Rescue. Arrangements have already been made to transport 25 dogs to the safety of foster homes scheduled to arrive on September 9, 2017. PetConnect Rescue is sure many more will follow.

We are asking you to join our efforts by considering one of our identified needs and making a commitment TODAY!

Need 1: Make A Tax-Deductible Donation
Your donation helps PetConnect Rescue provide transport, supplies, and vetting to incoming animals impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Transportation expenses for the first group of dogs will exceed $2,000! Barkingly, these animals will require vetting and supplies to help them feel at home until they are adopted.

Any funds raised that surpass what we need for dogs and cats rescued from Texas will be used toward saving other animals from shelters who desperately need help.

Make your donations at PetConnect Rescue - Harvey Donations.

Need 2: Foster An Animal Scheduled To Arrive.
The need for fosters is CRITICAL! Help PetConnect Rescue prepare for incoming animals from Texas by opening your home to pets who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey! If you have ever considered fostering, now is the time to take action!

To learn more and apply to become a foster, visit PetConnect Rescue - Become A Foster! If you are an existing PetConnect Rescue foster, please contact your Adoption Coordinator.

Pictured are Layla, Lucy, and Angel. These girls are just three of the dogs who will be arriving on September 9, 2017.

PetConnect Rescue hopes to rescue many more, but first, they need foster homes for these beautiful animals!
